Poll Female Morgan or Male Morgan? (268 votes)
Who do you intend on playing as? Granted, I don't think there will be a huge difference, but I'm still interested to know.
I was tempted to title this "FemYu or ManYu?", but I decided against it...

To be honest i don't care, its a first person game where you don't see your character. So will just use whatever it defaults on.
@bluestriped: Yeah, same here, haha!
I guess I'm doing female...? I usually pick the girl in these cases, as in: cases where gender determines nothing other than your voice and sometimes the pronoun by which you're addressed. I'm not positive, but this seems to be the case here. When entirely different lines of dialogue and delivery are present between genders is when I start caring and looking at the VAs doing the characters and seeing what the opinion from the public is on who the better VA is.
@meierthered: There is no default. That screenshot above is what you see when launch the game. You have to pick one or the other. Neither is selected by default.
I usually don't pass up playing as females, nowadays, just to mix things up. But like @hayt hints at, voice acting can also play a big role. I don't want to be stuck with someone that annoys me.
Male because he looks like an actual person. Female looks like she just walked out of Cloud Atlas.
Well shit, now I gotta get Morgan ten stars to get to Xultation
I usually choose female player characters whenever given the choice, but this is one of the rare occasions where I like both character designs equally, so I'm a bit torn at the moment. I'll probably wait until I hear general impressions of the VA's I suppose to make a decision.
I'll probably flip a coin. Don't really have a preference. Also, another person here didn't know about the option. Good on em for not making a big deal about it.

I thought the exact same thing.
She looks way cooler on the concept art than on the actual in-game character model (so does he).
i tend to play ladies a lot, not sure why. i guess as long as im in someone elses shoes go all the way with it?
this looks surprisingly neat but it's gotta wait (i tell myself now)
Oh, this character design... eek. Based on the initial trailers from a year or so ago, I wasn't expecting this. It looks like they tried to go for the Dishonored character look, changed their minds partway through, and wound up in an uncanny valley of horror.
Since the male Yu looks slightly less off-putting than the female Yu, I guess he's my choice. I agree that they both looked better in the concept art. Oh, and I guess it really doesn't matter since it's a first person game and they're apparently mute in the game itself. *shrug* I'm still looking forward to this. I've found Arkane's games to be pretty awesome so far, so I have no qualms whatsoever about taking the pre-order plunge.
Hahahha what a twist. I was trying to find a voice actor for these characters and ended up on the Prey wiki.
Even though Morgan can be heard talking in the trailers, they are mute in the game.
They do speak in the game too. From the demo:
You watch a video of Morgan talking to you and it seems like there will be more of them in the game, but yeah otherwise they are silent.

As it turns out, it makes zero difference.
Gameplay wise no but the voice acting/character models are different.
Not when you're freaking playing as them. Why aren't they speaking when they actually have a voice later on?
weird weird disappointing thing. If this is the set up, this game seems less than average.
