Female Morgan or Male Morgan?

This the first time knowing there is a gender options for this game.

Damn, overwhelmingly female.

Why do they have different color couches?

I think I'll wait to see who has the better voice actor.

I usually play as a female character for the aesthetic; their animations seem to get a little more TLC.

Male because he looks like an actual person. Female looks like she just walked out of Cloud Atlas.

I'm a guy, so in my first play through of games I play as a male character, if given the choice. Then if I really like the game I will play through again with a female character.

To be honest i don't care, its a first person game where you don't see your character. So will just use whatever it defaults on.

I am leaning towards female Morgan because of that movie Morgan, even though I liked Kate Mara from it.

I guess I'm doing female...? I usually pick the girl in these cases, as in: cases where gender determines nothing other than your voice and sometimes the pronoun by which you're addressed. I'm not positive, but this seems to be the case here. When entirely different lines of dialogue and delivery are present between genders is when I start caring and looking at the VAs doing the characters and seeing what the opinion from the public is on who the better VA is.

I had no idea you had an option. Are there any examples of the female/male VO?

I usually go with the female choice, as in Mass Effect, because it feels less generic, but here I think the male character actually looks more interesting.

@meierthered: There is no default. That screenshot above is what you see when launch the game. You have to pick one or the other. Neither is selected by default.

I usually don't pass up playing as females, nowadays, just to mix things up. But like @hayt hints at, voice acting can also play a big role. I don't want to be stuck with someone that annoys me.

I found Bethesda redid the original trailer with the female voice. So great for people who want to know about the VO. Sadly, in my opinion both are good so this doesn't help me decide.

I played ME:A as a female so I guess I'm playing a male here.

Also add me to the list of people that didn't know it had a choice.

I'll probably decide when I start a new game. I picked female, but I tend to flip back and forth on these things so much that it's just best for me to let a coin flip decide.

I usually choose female player characters whenever given the choice, but this is one of the rare occasions where I like both character designs equally, so I'm a bit torn at the moment. I'll probably wait until I hear general impressions of the VA's I suppose to make a decision.

Probably the dude, since whenever I think about this game I remember the creepy picture of the guy checking out his eyelids. Eugh.

I thought the exact same thing.

She looks way cooler on the concept art than on the actual in-game character model (so does he).

I'm going to choose the uncanny looking one.

Didnt actually know you could pick, since the pre-release footage uses female Morgan.

Cause if the male version is voiced by Keanu Reeves I might have to change my preference.

Hahahha what a twist. I was trying to find a voice actor for these characters and ended up on the Prey wiki.

Oh, this character design... eek. Based on the initial trailers from a year or so ago, I wasn't expecting this. It looks like they tried to go for the Dishonored character look, changed their minds partway through, and wound up in an uncanny valley of horror.

Since the male Yu looks slightly less off-putting than the female Yu, I guess he's my choice. I agree that they both looked better in the concept art. Oh, and I guess it really doesn't matter since it's a first person game and they're apparently mute in the game itself. *shrug* I'm still looking forward to this. I've found Arkane's games to be pretty awesome so far, so I have no qualms whatsoever about taking the pre-order plunge.

You watch a video of Morgan talking to you and it seems like there will be more of them in the game, but yeah otherwise they are silent.

Not when you're freaking playing as them. Why aren't they speaking when they actually have a voice later on?

weird weird disappointing thing. If this is the set up, this game seems less than average.
