a persona mac OSX layout

so I was told about Geektool today at school.

and while my 3d project was rendering I worked on this. I felt pretty happy about it so I thought i'd show everyone.

it's a working weather app, and clock. Chie down there tells me the word of the day from dictoinary.com, which I wanna change to random quotes from P4 soon. On the left over there is an iTunes info thing with a progress bar of the song playing, the background I found.

Out of curiosity, does the circular weather icon change with the weather? I'm currently trying to build my own Persona 4 weather HUD in Geektool but I can't figure out a way to make the actual icon change.

Nice! Geektools is fun, I actually discovered it while trying to find out how to make a Persona style weather thing on Mac, so I'm glad to see someone else was up to the task.

Just as an update, I figured out how to make the weather icon change. I still have a few tweaks to make, but I'll definitely post more info about the final version here once I've got everything around. I'm hoping to build a .zip file with all the assets and instructions on how to set it up.

If possible, you should upload this sometime so we can all have this coolness on our desktops!

HAS there been a PERSONA Calender??

Here's a preview of the HUD I built in GeekTool. I'm working on putting together the .zip file with instructions, but I work the rest of this week so it may not be finish it until the weekend. Unfortunately, while GeekTool is really cool and versatile, that also makes it less user friendly, so it's hard to just give people a single file they can install and everything works right away. So I really do need to write out a series of instructions on how to build this thing so other people can use it.

Anyway, I'll definitely let this forum know once I've got the .zip file around. After the work I put into this thing, I'm happy to see people interested in it and I'd really like to pass it on to other Persona fans.

The link to the .zip file can be found there as well. Again, GeekTool isn't the most user-friendly, and it's really hard to share geeklets with others, especially geeklets as involved as this. So definitely make sure you've got a little free time to learn GeekTool and go through all the steps.

Let me know if you have any difficulties. I'm hoping I didn't forget anything in the process.
