Steam Autumn Sale 2017 - What's Your Haul?

Didn't realize this was happening (apparently its almost Thanksgiving?) until I got an email about wish list items on sale.

You know the deal:

What'd you get? Anything you're going to try and squeeze it into your 2017 GotY considerations?

Think I'm buying..

Motorsport Manager - Its $9, down from 35 so.. I dunno. Im curious about it. Specifically the "GT Series" dlc if I do play it.

Trainz: A New Era - $10, down from 40. Again because.. I dunno. I saw it, I like train stuff, seems like it might be 'meh' but for 10..

Kingdoms and Castles - $7, only down from 10. Didn't know this existed, I like the art style, and I'm in an RTS mood. Why not.

Hollow Knight - $10, down from 15. I'd prefer to have this on PS4 but looks like that isn't out yet and who knows when. Looks pretty. Mary said its cool but I dunno. I like Metroidvanias but I don't like hard stuff like Ori or whatever. That Super Meat Boy type of twitch reflex gameplay. Ill take the risk for 10. I might have to try some of this for my GotY list.

I might pick up Sudden Strike 4 but its $25 (down from 50 though). Maybe. We'll see.

Curious to see what other deals people have dug up. Maybe something I'm interested in.

Pyre. Nothing else on my wish list is cheap enough to match my interest level.

In other news, I need to clean out my wish list.

Virginia is 90% off. Bought that.

I may get the second season of Telltale's Batman, I quite liked the first one.

I've picked up Stardew Valley, The Stanley Parable and Dead Space 1+2 so far.

@seikenfreak I'm interested in Motorsport Manager so would be curious to hear what you think of it.

XCOM: Enemy Within is going for $7.50. I've been catching up on the Exquisite Corps. Such a good series, made me want to pick it up finally.

I also picked up The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 3rd and The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel for $22.50 and $30 respectively. The series is light-hearted and fun so far.

Thanks for the tip, I just bought that too. 99ct is a pretty sweet price for something like that, maybe there's some magic left in steam sales after all.

Other than that, I might get Black Desert for 5€ (which seems to be an all time low) and probably the Sniper Elite 4 season pass.

Immediately grabbed Wolfenstein II for $40 and the standalone Dishonored 2 expansion for $15. Bethesda sure is quick on the discounts, huh?

Don't know if I'll grab anything else, still waiting for The Surge to drop below $20 and still waiting for people to tell me that Civilization VI is actually a good game.

I already own it, but Deus Ex Mankind Divided is marked down 85% (59.99 to 8.99). It's worth that for anyone interested.

Came close to Sniper 4 but I just got 3 on xbox so ill finish that first.

All this talk about bad need for speed games made me purchase Hot pursuit. I have it on ps3 but this is probably the version to play.

I bought Dungeons of Dredmor, Cuphead, Never Alone, Little Nightmares, Ruiner, Hand of Fate 2, West of Loathing.

Still considering to buy Virginia, Wolfenstein games, Night in the Woods, Darkwood and Narcosis.

Probably nothing for me, maybe Wolfenstien/Old Blood. I still have the new Hitman stuff and The Evil Within 2 to play, along with literally hundreds of other unplayed games.

SteamWorld Dig and Freedom Planet. Freedom Planet's something I've been looking forward to for a while, while Dig is more of a "This looks cool and I'll probably like it" buy.

Dishonored 2, Night In The Woods and Sexy Brutale are very tempting pick ups.

NieR:Automata, Wolfenstein II Deluxe Edition, and Hitman GOTY. Been real busy this year so only had the time, energy, and money to play Sonic Mania (which was awesome). Mainlined through SM: Odyssey last week and it was the pick-me-up I needed. Time to run it all to the ground with some sad rowbits.

I went ahead and bought Edith Finch, Tacoma, Steamworld Dig 2 and Little Nightmares... All pretty short games that I could knock out before the year is over.

Bought Steep. I've been looking for a good SSX type game since the last one was so bad. Steep very much scratches that itch for me.

I just bought Observer. I may purchase Nier . But I want to jet over to Sony PS 4 and see if Horizon is on sale.

I'm (sort of) new to PC gaming, so the novelty of the sales is still fresh to me. I still have half of my wishlist holding out for equal or better sales come Winter.

@pilgrimm1981: Was/Is Cuphead on sale? It isn't showing for me.

@civilizedworm: I've been on the fence about Steep for a while. Is the multiplayer well populated? I heard that it was a little barren at times.

Only Nier Automata so far, nothing else I really plan to get at this point. Been eyeing Yakuza Zero on the Playstation Store so between that and Nier I'd have enough to play for bit.

@topcat88: There are definitely times where I don't see anyone when I play. But I think that's because most people tend to be at the beginning of events whereas I just like to snowboard around everywhere only occasionally doing events. Also having other people around isn't necessary to play the game at all, it just makes the world fell a bit more lived in. I've also only played about 5 hours so far, so I haven't tried too many different things yet.

Virginia for an euro seems like good value. Grim Fandango Remastered for 3 euro's seems like a pretty good deal as well. Cook Serve Delicious 2 already being 40% off is also quite interesting.

I want to get Night in the Woods but I rather play that on my PS4 and I’m curious what the directors cut is all about.

Got it. I also got the physical copy of Quantum Break (comes with steam key, sound track and an excellent book on the art and development). That's my haul.

@elmorales94: Man, Left 4 Dead is so good, try to play with some friends, if you can. I used to get together with some friends and play all in the same room, it was a lot of fun!

Not strictly on subject, but bought Horizon Zero Dawn for 25 usd at the PlayStation store. Base game was only going for 20 usd.

@bybeach: How is the PC port of Origins, I was looking at it yesterday...

That is what I was having a debate about. It's a controller game (for me) but the PC is sure to look better. But there is that bit about cpu use. I don't know if that has been resolved, or in the long run that much of a factor. Have a few days to find out...

Just got a really powerful new gaming pc with a 1080 in it but I didn’t have any games that would take advantage of it. Got Skyrim for my partner so they could finally fulfill their dreams of playing it modded. I haven’t decided what I want to get yet.

Limiting myself to two games this sale because the winter sale is so close.

Bought Battlestar Galactica Deadlock because I've been really hankering to play it. Got 20 or so bucks left on my account that I might just keep for the winter sale. Haven't really decided yet.

Project Highrise 6,99€ (-65% off). I loved SimTower back in the day, so this should be good.

Oh, and Virginia. I feel a bit bad for not paying full price for indie games, though :/

Just Grid: Autosport for 9,99 on sale. I finally got my Dualshock 4 to work on windows in non-natively supported games through DS4Windows wrapper, and I got an itch to play some fun racing games after NFS: Payback was garbage and all other racing games this year were hardcore sims. I basically ignored recent steam sales since my backlog is huge thanks to sales from other years.

I picked up 12 games: Everything, Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, South Park: The Stick of Truth, Little King's Story, Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Dead Space 2, Kingsway, Little Nightmares, Hob, Just Cause 3, Darkwood, and Heat Signature. I think I'm most excited about Little King's Story even though I owned and finished it for Wii. I only found out they ported it to PC a few days ago. It's probably the most original and unexpected game on the Wii. Fun, compelling game play and a story with disturbing amounts of depth. A modern classic of the medium that deserves way more recognition.

Wolfenstein 2 (although not on Steam as I got an extra coupon from GMG to take it down to a ridiculous £17.50), Cook, Serve, Delicious 2 for £5.99 and Necrosphere for £2.67 so far.

Doubt I'll have time to play Wolfenstein before year's end but the price was too good to resist.

So far I only got Vanquish. That game in 4K 60fps is everything I hoped it would be.

I'm glad people are picking up Wolfenstein 2, can't shake the feeling it being discounted so heavily so soon means it did poorly initially which is a shame.

Im thinking of picking up Hellblade too if it goes on sale. Will check when I get home.
