The Popori are adorable.

How can you not choose that race?

 Panda, dog, cat, rabbit, weasel people. So awesome.

@Barrock: Is the beta only in Korean? And did they ever make those changes to the young kid looking race that everyone was getting so riled up about?

Yeah, those popori smell like a Pandaren competitor to me.

Beta is in English and yeah they put pants on them. 
 
I actually think the Popori were in the game before Blizzard revealed the Pandaren expansion. Don't quote me on that though. ;)

I find a lot of the art style in Tera, from what I have seen, very off-putting. Its either very stereotypical or disgusting, I really dislike that child looking race. Sadly those Popori are really cute, I also find the Panda's of WoW very cute for the same reason.

Ill be interested to see some impressions/reviews closer to the release. The idea of the "free-targetting" MMO seems interesting but without friends to play with I doubt ill be too excited.

I thought the art style was atrocious (although the graphics themselves are pretty amazing for an MMO). The realistic races really clash with the anime looking ones.. Seems 95% of players are playing as the anime school girls as well, perhaps that's because the game has already been released in Asia? Either way, I found it to be totally immersion breaking, they really do look ridiculous.

The combat is a lot of fun, but there's nothing to keep you playing. The gameplay/quest system is just one big grind.

The being at level 20 part doesn't last too long and just serves a mini tutorial / combat showcase before you start for real at level 1. I'm not sure what to make of this game. I'm having fun with the combat, and have never experienced an MMO at launch before. But I know zero people who are playing this, while almost all of my former WoW friends are going to play Diablo 3, which I'm also looking forward to. I will say though if you don't like MMO questing /grinding, you won't like this. Quests are real basic so far and nothing I've read seems to indicate this will change.

Makes sense since the beta is only open for the weekend. What I fond odd is the game's handle of MP. I don't know what triggers it but mana will just start draining.

Playing as a Slayer so I wonder if my class choice has something to do with it.

I saw a popori that looked like an otter with long puppy ears, I instantly knew I had to roll one.

Oh yeah, this is that MMO for furries and lolicons. I wonder if they'll add a My Little Pony race.

The only one I didn't find revolting was the pug with a pipe.

I made my Popori look like my old cat Jordy!

I like the idea of them being straight up bipedal animals instead of anthropomorphic ones. Does not evoke the same horribleness. Probably never gonna play it but the art is great. A lot of people seem to get a gut reaction to it looking like anime but it's really not. At least not in the stereotypical sense.

I mean, some people have different taste of what they play and yes I am like.. YEARS late on this post, I am still an active player of TERA(PC) but one this is for certain, I'm not playing any other race than Popori. I can't bring myself to do it, I made a Valk and Reaper and immediately lost interest. Tried human brawler and immediately race changed to Popori Brawler. I've grown attached, basically.
