Witcher 3 digital download and day one patch

If one purchased the digital download does the "day one" patch pre-load as well?

for ps4 normally the update and game are separate downloads that will start at the same time when start the download.

I did on ps4, and yes it downloaded a patch.

If there is a patch then yes it will download as soon as you queue the game to download.

The gog download seems smallish at approx 22gb. Is there going to be an additional larger file when it unlocks?

That unpacked to just under 26 gigs when installed. At the end of the installation it said there will be just a "small piece" to download on release, so we'll just have to wait and find out what that is.

Steam downloaded about a GB when it unlocked last night.
