The Witness: How many have you solved? (NO SPOILERS)

I have to sleep, but I was able to solve 25 puzzles according to the load file. As the reviews mentioned some puzzles make you feel smart while others make you feel dumb for not seeing the solution sooner. I feel pretty good about going off the beaten path and ending up someplace strange simply because I figured out new rules and whatnot. Good feeling.

How many have you solved so far?

Zero. But I think I'm buying this sucker tomorrow, so expect that number to change.

78 panles, +1 in. I think i know what the +1 is but not entirely sure, i get the feeling theres going to be some fez like revelations towards the end of the game

Zero. Started the download right before I went to work, will play about 3-4 hours once I come back later today.

How are you guys playing this game early? Is it playable on PSN before Steam?

@aethelred: @mylifeforaiur:Yes, it went up on PSN before Steam. It'll be up on Steam in about three hours. It doesn't bother me much, though. I have to go to work anyway. It's crazy. I've been looking forward to this game since I was halfway done with college, and now all that's standing in my way is one day of work.

As is implied above: Zero puzzles. But just you wait until twelve or so hours from now.

@mylifeforaiur: ye, unlocked on EU PSN a little while ago.

I played it for about an hour and did about 70 or so. While it does some clever things I feel like Brad up-played it quite heavily in the QL.

Played for a couple of hours, have already had several lightbulb moments. Loving it so far.

Just got the Symmetry trophy. So far super fun, and I can imagine it's going to get really hard and destroy my ego. I do like snooping around and finding the audio logs, even if they're kinda Talos-y in that it's all psychobabble that flies over my head.

So far 92 and +11 and I'm loving this game so far.

Got to 44 +3 before going to work this morning, man this is my fucking jam, can already say I like this way better than talos principle in the puzzle department.

Can't say I'm a huge fan of the structure of the game, for a good while I felt like I was just running into complex puzzles with mechanics I didn't know, and lo and behold after stumbling around I finally found the tutorials for those mechanics.

Also, not looking for a solution, but has anyone figured out the panel that looks like an X/Y axis (cross with a lot of pegs on it) in the broken down village with the tower ?

Thought I'd broke the door at the start but I was mistaken. 8 down.

1 hour to go till release. I'm super hyped after the QL.

62 +1, a little under 2 hours played. Stumped on several puzzles and a couple of mechanics I'm not grasping yet. When I get stuck I just tend to pick a direction and run until I hit something new. Thinking about starting a help thread.

I also have a theory on what the +1s are, but I'll leave it out of this thread.

Starting to get a little stuck now. I too seem to be struggling to find tutorials for a few of the puzzles

I worked out a couple myself (the easier ones)

But still missing a fair few

I does feel like a lot of aimless wandering about till you get to a block of stuff you CAN do at the mo. I have also done/triggered a couple of things that I have no idea what they did/are doing.

It's quite nice to wander about though :)

80 puzzles in 2 hours. I've mainly been exploring the world and taking in the scenery.

I'm enjoying this puzzle check-in thread.

75 + 2 in 2 hour, I was stuck on one puzzle for 30 minutes.

69. Calling it for the night. Finished up the orchard and felt kinda smug about it. There's some really clever design behind some of this. Just enough of a hint to get you going.

110 panels, played for about 3 and a half hours. I've literally laughed out loud several times when I figured out some of the mechanics, a few of them are so incredibly clever. I can't wait to play more of it, but my brain is done for tonight.

I can't wait for work to be over so I can go home and dive into this game.

Wow, you guys seem to be getting through the puzzles way quicker than me, I'm at 76 after about 6-7 hours.

87 after 2 hours, although not sure how quickly that'll go up from here. Feels like I'm out of solvable puzzles! I think I just need to find the tutorials for them but I feel like I've explored everywhere!

Took me something between 2-3 hours.

This game is the sort where it's best to leave it when stuck and come back to it after a while, I'm now on 151 and +14 and have 3 of the trophies, I've seen a couple of +'s but haven't been at the right angle to get them yet.

56 +5, about an hour and a half in. Then started to bang my head against a particular puzzle type. I don't really want to leave since I'll forget both where it is and the rule if I come back to it.

Just over two hours, have 131 and +2. This math degree is finally paying off.

I'm at 75. I spent half an hour figuring out a puzzle to get through a door, only to be faced immediately with another door and a puzzle type that I have no idea how to even begin to complete. I turned the game off at that point, I just wasn't in the mood for more frustration. I think I need to give it about a day or so.

Jesus, 57 after about 3 hours, I must be an idiot.

@gkhan: Yeah probably, I never really felt like I got stuck on any one puzzle for too long, 20 minutes at the most I think. I have had some fantastic "a-ha" moments so far though and my god the game is gorgeous!

I'm currently at 98 panels solved but I still have no idea what the + thing is.

This game is fun! I didn't check my save for my panel count but I think I'm in the 80-90 region

I am currently frustrated by what the fuck most of the symbols in the boxes mean

124 +10 after a couple hours. Loving it so far.

99, +3 so far. I think I know what the +3 is referencing, but I don't know anything greater than that.

I'm enjoying this game immensely thus far, but I have to call it a night. It's very exhausting both in the sense that intuiting the logic of the puzzles and getting a feel for the layout of the island takes a lot from me. There are a few that look pretty simple that I've come across but which I just can't figure out the logic behind. It's frustrating, yet I'm captivated.

Looks like I am at about 70 but I just did a couple that made no real sense. I keep trying to look at them to see what triggered the right answer, but I dont see anything. They were near the red gates, if anyone else knows what I am talking about and understood those puzzles.

87 in 1.8 hours and I guess I completed 2 areas because I have 2 laser beams. I also got into a secret door which had some kind of hexagon map inside.

I'm enjoying the game so far but I feel like some of the sections are too repetitive. I will understand the mechanic for an area but then there is just panel after panel when I just want to move on.
