I love people who falsify information just for an attention grab.

VGChartz has Space Marine at 690k

To my knowledge that's a bit of a low estimate- Space Marine did quite a bit better than that, unless those numbers are for just 1 platform.

Across all platforms, earlier reports suggested it exceeded 1.2 million. (Though that might've been counting copies shipped as well)

Whatever the case, there's still been no official word on THQ's situation right now- so we'll have to wait and see for now.

THQ's official twitter account has also confirmed the Kotaku story. I'd say it's over for now folks. While I doubt THQ is in great shape, reports of their imminent demise appear to greatly exaggerated.

Lots of rumors floating around. Let's end them now >> RT Kotaku: THQ Says it has "Not Cancelled" its 2014 Lineup http://kotaku.com/5876348/

Looks like this "Game industry Insider" Kevin Dent owes THQ an apology.

If it's true and they are looking at asian companies, I would like Konami to buy all of THQ. They are actually swimming in Just Dance money, but whenever there is not a just dance or metal gear game out they are dead in the water. Hideo Kojima presents Sants row 4, they just slap his name on it like they did with lords of shadow.

Just Dance is Ubisoft, not Konami. Also, Konami's fortune has evaporated the last few years. What have they been working on since Lord of Shadow? Have they even announced anything besides MGS: Rising?

oh that's that's ubisoft? Well then what the hell does konami even make?
Metal Gear.
METAL GEAR!?

@RecSpec Don't forget the Pro Evo / Winning Eleven series. And... Yeah, I'm stumped.

I'm almost disappointed this wasn't true, I'd have loved to see the WWE series tackled by someone else.

But yeah, for the most part, it's a good thing. THQ put out some great games.
