I got quickly addicted to Forza 3 last night after playing it for an hour or so. Are the extra tracks worth buying? Do they get added to the season mode at all?

nah man, no new events. it's basically a shorter nurburgring  circuit and not worth it, it should have come with either more cars, more events or more tracks.  the car packs are totally worth the price though, even the Road and Track pack has some really neat little hot hatches and coupes. 
 
also make sure to join the forza 3 weekly race night every thursday! and if you're up for some off-brand racing, my gamertag is Pax Morte.
