Forza Motorsport 3 Review 0

The Forza series has taken pride in being one of the most technically advanced racers on the market. It's hard to argue with that fact when one of the most talked about features of this sequel is something like tire deformation & flex. Such features may irrelevant to the layman but it leaves the 'gearheads' salivating. Perhaps the greatest feature to the rest of us who don't know our axles from our elbows is the added focus on accessibility. While Forza 3 will never be mistaken for a classic...

Violence and Sex: FMS3. 0

Can I tell you a secret? ... ... I love car porn. I absolutely love it. I live in a huge city so my experience with driving actual cars is, admittedly, limited, but I adore cars. They’re the ultimate testament to engineering, design, and power. They blend sophisticated engineering, scientific precision, and sleek kinetic design, with raw sex appeal and danger.  I just eat car culture up. I watch rerun broadcasts of Top Gear gluttonously, own every movie with a cool chase I can get my hands ...

Game of the Year 2009 0

While you may disagree with my initial assessment of the game (it being GOTY 2009), there is no denying the tremendous overall quality present and the amount of work put into this title.   The previous two games in the Forza Motorsport franchise both raised the standards of racing simulation games.   Not only did they deliver some of the best physics and gameplay of any driving game ever released, they added depth to a genre that was accustomed to giving you cars and letting you “drive”.   Gran ...

Forza Motorsport 3 Review 1

Forza 3 offers not only a true simulation racer but under the bonnet there is something which will please creators and casual racing fans while looking amazing throughout. Forza Motorsport 3 is one of the best racing simulation games out there; fact. This is because Turn 10 have thought of even aspect of driving and combined it into a compelling package that anyone who has the slightest interest in cars will enjoy. The hardcore simulation driving is still at the heart of Forza but around the ...

An Epic Racing Experience 0

Microsoft's premier racing franchise, Forza, has turned into one of the more under-respected but overall terrific racing titles on the market. Giving you the ability to make the game so hardcore that you cannot enjoy playing it to being so arcade-y that you cannot help enjoy playing it, it manages to somehow be the second best arcade racer on the market (behind Burnout) and, for my money, the best sim racer on the planet. I know, Gran Turismo is the racing game of the last few game genera...

Zen and the Art of Simulation Racing 0

Forza motorsport 3 does nothing extraordinary, there is nothing special about it. The visuals have improved, but not in any spectacular way, the car models are impressive, yet they seemed to be perfect last time around. Vehicle selection is vast and varied, it is however only slightly larger than last time. What Turn 10 as done with Forza 3 is not reinvent the wheel, but perfect it, there is nowhere to go from here. The driving simulator has been completed, this is it. I cannot even think how it...

Forza Motorsport 3 Review 2

When it comes to racing games, Forza 3 and Gran Turismo are the leaders in simulation racing. There has been much rivalry between both the games and consoles, and with each release it always turns out better than the last, this hasn’t changed for Forza 3. Nearly everything has been improved since Forza 2. The graphics, sound, gameplay, user accessibility and many more features which have been heavily improved on and even some new features added.       The first thing that struck me when I put Fo...

Love it loads, easy achievements 0

Love it, love it, love it.  I am a big fan of Forza 1. Forza 2 was good. but I didn't play it much. And this puppy rocks. Looks? Cor blimey guvner. The cars, the tracks, the landscape all a beauty to behold. And not a frame drop in sight. Every detail has improved graphically. Not only in game, but each menu is crisp, bright and easy on the eye.  Each car shines brightly with a high polish, may be a touch to brightly. But then after the 1st corner (the way I drive) the scratches and dent start t...

Great game + lousy controller support= no fun 12

Really the title is all you really need to know if you're a true simfan.   This game is really great, but the absence of third party steering wheel support instantly make this game a failure to any real simfan. After playing prologue with a g25 for months, going back to the lousy microsoft wheel with it's shoddy force feedback kills all the fun for me, and make the microsoft wheel combined with any game feel like a cheap toy. It's like driving a Lamborghini Countach, It looks and sounds awesome,...

Forza Motorsport 3 Review 0

Ok so I do not play raceing games, but once I played this game to see what all the fuss is about I LOVED it. The game looks great, the cars look great. The driving is very satisfying and can be as complex or as symple as you want it. The tracks range from easy to hard but thay never decome to complex. As far as raceing games go this is one of the best. There is nothing bad I can really say about this game. The multyplayer is fun but I found it to be kind of weird in spots. But over all this is a ...

Well, I am back into racing games again 0

And that is a good thing.  I have always dibble dabbled in the racing genre, but I haven't really played a racing game in a long while.  The last racing game that held my attention was Gran Tourismo 4.  Countless hours were spent in my dorm room finishing races, upgrading cars, and unlocking new challenges.  It looks like I am about to open up that can o' worms again.  The only problem is that this time I don't have 2 roommates to help me play.  Forza 3 is just awesome.  It is well made, complet...

Racing GOTG? Quite possibly yes. 0

Had me? You never had me. You never had your car...  It was when I hit 240 MPH on the backstretch of the Benchmark high speed ring in the Bugatti Veyron when I realized something.   Forza Motorsport 3 could quite possibly be the racing game of this console generation.    Yes, I know that's quite the thing to say, since Gran Turismo 5 isn't out yet, but hear me out. I have a few good reasons why.      I think the first place to start with is the car lineup. There almost isn't a bad car in the...

Exilerating and Excellent 0

Forza Motorsport 2 was an impulse buy for me I bought it for about £10 but I always ended up coming back to it. The thing that made this game so addictive for me was a mixture of accessability, challenging gameplay and a great online community. Forza Motorsport 3 had a lot to live up to after this brilliant predecessor and I am pleased to say it builds upon FM2 and improves in every way.  Forza 3 throws you in to the game in a now common first race in an Audi R8. Instantly the visuals strike you...

Move over, Gran Turismo 0

Racing games, with a few exceptions, (Burnout, Mario Kart) have a somewhat niche audience focused on the graphical specs of the game and the amount of cars. Turn 10 tries to broaden the audience of racing simulators with a variety of new features and modes. Does it work? Read to see.You see, unlike other racing sims, Forza’s vehicles get damage performance-wise AND visually, which makes your damages clearly known, and not just being told you are. You’ve seen "rewind modes" done in games like Fu...

A petrol heads dream, great graphics, cool customisation options. 0

Okay, first of all - Forza 3 takes quite a few hours to play. If you've played any of the previous games or the Gran Turismo games you'll know the routine, race, win money, buy cars, upgrade them, rinse and repeat. Sounds pretty boring huh? Well, the racing itself is very good, the tracks are beautifully rendered and a pleasure to withhold, as are the cars. The cars also sustain visible car damage, which though rarely realistic looking - well illustrates the actual damage you've taken....

Excellent racing game, built to a price 0

So it arrives, Forza 3. Starting out as a humble response to Polyphony's behemoth Gran Turismo, Forza has now carved its own niché in the console sim genre. With heavy focus on the community, Forza is quite unlike much else on the market today. But the series is starting to grow out of it shoes.   The Good Let me first start by saying that Forza 3 is worth your money. The amount of content you get is a lot. But its no more, no less. Depending on how you break it down, at first it looks like may...

Forza Motorsport 3 is the best racing game in its own genre. 0

Game play : Forza Motorsport 3 is the best racing game in its own genre. You can have access to 500+ cars, there are 1200 races in career mode. I got to level 34 and I wasn't planning on going trough 1200 races because of the lack of track variety, If this game would have much more racing tracks, then I'd be interested in playing more. Although this game represents its genre with delicateness. Someone who doesn't like simulation racing games, will love this one because the difficulty level can b...

Boring 0

First of all let me state that this is from a casual racer game fan’s view. I’ve always played racing games starting from Pitstop 1 on C64 through different platforms to current next gen games. Especially the earlier Need for Speed and PGR games have found it’s home here. Don’t care about the most arcade style other than maybe the more recent Outrun gems. Other aspects that I don’t care too much is the import tuning scene. Any car Nissan or Toyota has made has never been cool in my books. Maybe...
