@Jugnutts: I'd hold off on it thus far, as there's a pretty big thread on forzamotorsport.net (238 strong and growing) with people in our situation regarding pre-order incentive cars. Ekberg also said he'd look into it when people were continually complaining about it in the discussion thread for his latest week in review.
If they allege to have sent out said cars to everyone yet again sometime this week, then I believe forzafb@microsoft.com is a nice address to bother.
Huh, so I guess the cars I posted on page 8 are those incentive cars. Had no idea until I saw people talking about them in that thread on the official forums. There was no message or anything accompanying them when they showed up in my inbox in-game.
GUIZ, I FIGURED OUT HOW TO FAVORITES!!!
Go into your garage. Go into the Grid view (far left). Select cars (says at the bottom, I think RT) that you would like to be in a Group. Once you're done, press A on one of your selected cars. Alllllll the way at the bottom is the option to create a new group, do that, name it, and done. Going back to your main car list, you will now see those cars in front of your other cars. In the Grid view you can make multiple groups and move cars in and out of groups. All of these cars will appear before your cars that are organized by class.
Why Turn 10 has completely hidden this feature is beyond me, and it adds to the list of reasons why this game is far from perfect (in my opinion). But anyway, GO FORTH! AND CREATE MANY DIFFERENT TYPES OF FAVORITE GROUPS MY FRIENDS!!!

Thanks for catching this. I've been in dire need of a group feature to better access and organize the DLC and LCE cars I have.

Shit yes, that's pretty awesome.

Well then...
Holy shitfucking shitfucks. F1 in Jersey? If this makes it for all ten years, I will be surprised as hell.
...then again, I also thought there was no way Baltimore could put on an entertaining IndyCar race and I was proven quite wrong, so maybe the Armpit Monaco GP will have a chance (and apologies if you live in the area, but I have to take my shots and ridicule the idea before it's word-eating time in the event this actually works out).

@gnarlycore: No, it wasn't.
There were definitely some boxes on the Event List that had multiple races in them. Don't be snippy, now.
@ShaggyChu: It was actually almost entirely the same. between "season" races in world tour you would pick 1 event from the event list which had between 3 and 8 races to complete during a 1-2 week period on the calendar. The 12 race events were about the same as well, and now endurance events are gone!
Yea I remember the only box that had one race each was the endurance races. Unless you're going for the achievement, no big deal.
Couldn't connect to anyone's invites, must not have had mojo with whomever was hosting :( hate when my nat says open but i still have connection issues.
@pakx: Congratulations, dude! Glad to hear that worked out.
Now, then, onto something I've forgotten for the past two weeks.
Cue the god damn cat.
- We've managed to get near-full lobbies over the past few weeks, which is utterly amazing. Hopefully the connection issues will be dealt with, but in the meantime, if my lobbies start messing up, I'm designating Jugnutts as the backup host. While he experienced some of the same issues, it seems they go away for a while when we switch hosts.
- One of these days, I will make you race stock Hummers at 50% horsepower around Fujimi Kaido for 18 hours. Be prepared.
- The Bertone Mantide: It's a codpiece for your soul.
- I have OM NOM HUMMA written down here, but I can't for the life of me remember why.
- I also have YEAH STRATOAST written down, but I totally remember what that's about. I kind of want to spend some time making this design in Forza, except with "I make racing FUN!" instead.
- This week, Race Night was powered by VALIUM! Goes down smooth.
- Our new mode, Hummer Down Now, is absolutely teeming with rapscallions.
- Hummer Down Now's just downhill clunker pushing with Hummers as the clunkers and Chevy Volts as the pushers. I think it still needs a bit of tweaking, like maybe removing all the grip from the Hummers.
- Even Batman was playing Forza this week. That stupid city can wait.
- One of the rarest statements was uttered this week: "Laz, ready up."
- Next week: TWO YEARS OF RACE NIGHT. I'm completely unprepared, thanks to my computer's death!
I hope everyone had fun, as always. I don't have any images or graphics prepared for next week's celebration, unlike last year, so...I'll probably just write a blog.
Still, two years. We're the longest running game night on Giant Bomb by half a year -- the next longest is Thursday Night Throwdown. I don't think any other game night's come close to our longevity, which speaks volumes about Forza and all of you awesome motherfuckers. With the club functionality in Forza 4, I think we have the potential to last for quite a few more years.
Here's to another year of good racing and wild shenanigans.
@PsEG: I think the om nom Hummer thing had to do with out first attempt at the new Clunker Pushing thing, before we switched the roles. Hell, I don't know.
Since I joined right before the one-year anniversary, I'm excited for this occasion.
Conquering The Bull - Battle your rival at the limits of speed in the brand new 2012 Lamborghini Aventador. each week 100 randomly chosen players from this leaderboard will receive a 2002 BMW M3-GTR, a "unicorn car" only available from Turn 10. The November Speed Pack is Required to participate in this event.
@pakx: I saw on Twitter that Turn 10 said they were aware the dlc wasn't showing up in the game, and they're actively working on a fix. Hopefully this means up with the season pass will have access to the dlc very soon.
@pakx said:
if you go into the marketplace and download the Volkswaggen Sirocco R for free, if will unlock all of the cars for season pass holders.
Turn 10 said that the dlc should be showing up now in the game marketplace, so all should be well.
So I've finally gotten around to creating a topic on Tested requesting advice on my future computer build, since what should be my current computer is still very dead. Not that this affects many of you, but I know a few of you might have more of a clue about this sort of thing than me. Also, once I get a new computer put together I can get back to doing any graphic or video work for Race Night, time willing.
...well, that, and I could stop using sluggish loaner computers that my family's beginning to get irritated at me for hogging up.
sweet I don't have to wait to 3:30am this week. Clocks went back so it begins at 2:30
Just like last time I will paint cars all cool n stuff, and not get a chance to use any of them!!
