    Forza Motorsport is a road racing sim developed by Turn 10 Studios. The game is known for its in-depth car customizing and for including features that rival racing sims, like Gran Turismo, would not like car damage.

    Short summary describing this game.

    Forza Motorsport last edited by gtxforza on 07/16/21 09:39AM View full history

    Forza brought the racing experience to Xbox, a game developed by Turn 10 studios and published by Microsoft Game Studios. The game was released on May 3, 2005 in the US and May 13, 2005 in the UK.

    Forza features lap-based racing featuring both real and fantasy tracks, the car roster is one of the biggest seen on the Xbox with well over 200 cars from different manufactures ranging from Chevrolet to Ferrari. The cars are break down into several categories depending on their performance;

    1. Class D: standard family vehicles or production vehicles.
    2. Class C: Inspired by racing vehicles, this class ranges from sporty vehicles to derivatives of true racing thoroughbreds.
    3. Class B: Performance cars that range from muscle cars to Grand tourers.
    4. Class A: High performance cars
    5. Class S: Ultra-high performance cars also know as supercars.
    6. Class R: Cars that are purpose built, most of the cars in this class are prototypes.

    One of the most impressive features Forza introduces to the racing genre is realistic damage; this was quite the task both for Turn 10 and Microsoft as they had to acquire every single license. Damage ranges from a cosmetic setting to a simulation setting in which the slightest crash will affect the car's overall performance, giving the player a realistic racing experience. Forza also included a customization mode in which player with the use of layers could create infinite designs; as it allows 100 layers.

    Forza's physics engine is what makes it such a great game as it mimics the real performance of a car, based on different items. The game analyses this data in real time what makes the game a very real experience in terms of driving a certain car. The game featured online play thanks to the Live service.
