    I was enamored by Frozen Synapse from the moment I watched GB's Quick look, and it has honestly been such a good experience for me. I worried a bit at the game being in a beta-esque state at the time of the Quick-Look, but was quick to purchase it once I heard it hit full release. After convincing myself to work through the single player in preparation for the multiplayer, I was amazed at how much content was in the campaign (55 missions, I believe). While the story is a bit convoluted for my taste (people in the future hate each other - who knew?), I really enjoyed the mission structure and how the game evolved over the story. In fact, the last few missions of the single player campaign make you feel like a complete badass - working through loads of enemies with extremely small numbers. The last mission caused me a sleepless night, but I could not have been more elated to finish the game.

    I'm really only now breaking into the multiplayer, and it is exactly (and I mean exactly) what I want out of a multiplayer game: the matchmaking is fantastic, the mission types are all there from the single player (though every game I've played so far has been Dark Extermination - seems the be the popular choice), and, best of all, I can use the game's turn-based structure to play one game over a week. I've gifted the game to three friends who live all over, and I will have no problem ever fitting a game in with their schedule. I'm a big board gamer, so the turn based structure scratches that itch too!

    I implore anyone and everyone to play this game. Buy a copy and give the free copy to a friend or someone on GB. If you want to play me, bring it. My username is Truitt, and I'm ready to lose to real-life people.

    I'm still chugging through the early single player, but I am eager to finish it and be ready to start getting into the multiplayer.  Glad to hear there are people keeping this alive, and that it didn't tank after a month.

    @Ahmad_Metallic: Portal 2 was great, don't get me wrong. But I'm a sucker for games that are incredibly unique, and Frozen Synapse is just that - I've never played anything like it, and its style and gameplay mesh so damn well. (Portal 2 does this too...digging a hole for myself here). It's the best game for me so far this year, not overall.

    The soundtrack is fucking incredible. I'm usually pretty picky when it comes to electronic music, but hnnnnng. So good.

    Some of the other mods play grudge matches against each other all the time:

    Looks pretty cool, but $25 seems way too steep from what I've seen of the game. I know it comes with two copies - I don't want two copies.

    @Three0neFive: Listened to it on the treadmill today! Been Bastion soundtrack and that back to back for weeks.

    I liked what I played of it but each turn takes forever to load on my laptop.

    @ZombiePie: Only for when 10-Die-Prime isn't enough, I'm sure.

    @Akrid: I can understand. Like I said, when it was in beta, I had my concerns because it was a similar price. Its worth 25 alone, but its gone on sale a number of times on Steam, including during and after the Summer sale. I'm sure it'll be in the Christmas sales. Maybe find someone who will split the price with you?

    I do like me some frozen synapse, but the thing that kills it for me is that the matchmaking is entirely unfiltered... and there are some people who have played this game A LOT. Don't get me wrong, it will be somewhere on my GOTY list for sure, but that frustration of losing really really badly doesn't really inspire me to go back for more.

    @ZombiePie:  Those matches were mad long, I had to make some popcorn and tea, put on some headphones and enjoy them like i should!
