Have any of you guys seen it? If so, what did you think of the series/film?

  I think it's surprisingly mature, and deals with a lot of issues that you usually don't think about if you're just a kid, so children probably wouldn't get the plot entirely...

  Still, it does have some moments that kids would enjoy, I guess, but what's YOUR opinion?

On the surface, it's pretty kiddy, but it has some darker undertones, like the time

to our culture, i'd say it's more adult

From what I've seen (which is only a couple of episodes) I'd say adult.

It's a pretty dark anime. I watched the entire series plus the movie before it got all popular over in the US and stuff. Kids probably like it because it follows 2 kids around.

dude this is like one of my favorite shows but its awfully dark (why i like it) so its more for adults and intelligent teens :P

lol true. Death Note is definitely one of the best, though I prefer the Manga to it, still a great and more serious show. I think FMA tries to blend the whole kid/adult thing, some episodes I would see of it seemed really kiddy, but then they would have a pretty serious tone or bloody scene in there somewhere... overall I think its way more adult than anything else, especially some of the later episodes .

Adult, I just watched the first episode and even the introduction of the characters is pretty dark. It has good humor though and isn't serious all the time.

Definitely an adult show, even if it is aimed at kids. 

Full Metal Alchemist is quite a mature show. Also Death Note should have ended after the first season.
