Overview
Fuuki Co., Ltd. (株式会社フウキ) was a Japanese video game and arcade development studio founded in 1977 by Fukiko Takahashi. The company's main business was operating amusement centers in Japan as well as exporting arcade hardware to North American and other Asian countries like China. During the 1990s, Fuuki began publishing other company's arcade games in Japan and eventually started making their own original titles. The company was most well known for creating puzzle games and the Asura Blade fighting game series. Later the studio also began developing titles for the Game Boy Advance in the 2000s but soon stopped making original games all together for several years.
Throughout the rest of the 2000s, the company mainly developed video slot machines until sometime around 2009 when Fuuki released two arcade puzzle games called Hako Tsumi Max and Mile to Heaven. In recent years, it is unclear whether Fuuki is still in businesses with the company's website being completely empty besides a page announcing in 2011 that they were suspending sales of PCB boards.
