Animaniacs Game Pack! is a cartoon-comedy mini-game collection developed by Funnybone Interactive (Company) and published by The Knowledge Adventure for Windows PCs and Macintosh computers in 1997.
Based on the Animaniacs (Franchise) cartoon series, Animaniacs Game Pack features five arcade-style mini-games starring Yakko, Wakko, and Dot, each accompanied by a quick cartoon sequence starring them (sometimes poking fun at the fact that they're in a computer game).
A block-breaking game similar to the 1977 arcade game Circus, where Wakko and Dot must move a trampoline left and right to keep Yakko bouncing upward to bump into groups of balloons, all while preventing him from being caught by annoying kids show mascot Baloney the Dinosaur (Character) when they miss. The game makes use of mouse controls.
While the game does not penalize players for having Yakko fall below the trampoline, they must be careful not to let him touch Baloney (who makes his way under Yakko's current position). Baloney can be stunned by anvils, which are dropped by bumping into wider Anvil Balloons and bounces at the bottom of the screen for a short time. There are also birds that fly around with the balloons, which can block Yakko from hitting a balloon (instead granting points and being stunned).
In addition to Anvil Balloons, players can find Power Up Balloons that grant a special temporary bonus if Wakko and Dot catch it:
A top-down shooter similar to Zombies Ate My Neighbors (Game) and Gauntlet (Game), where Wakko must navigate ACME Labs and use his destructive power of belching against the robotic minions of the genius rodent Brain (Character). The game makes use of keyboard controls.
Throughout each of the six levels, Wakko must find the exit (usually though finding locked doors and their keys) while shooting enemies and other obstacles (including secret walls) with projectile belching. He also has access to a map, which can be improved with Map Devices, and can heal with the Nurse-O-Matic (or through health pickups). Enemies can spawn at Bot Builders, requiring Wakko to destroy Control Devices with belches.
Wakko can swap between multiple "weapons", each of which launch green cloud projectiles forward with different strengths:
Along the way, he can also find special limited-use power-ups:
A top-down auto-scrolling game starring Yakko, where he must drive forward in various vehicles while collecting various movie props and dodging various other obstacles (by moving left/right and jumping upward). The game makes use of keyboard controls.
There are nine levels, each with their own sets of movie props and obstacles.
A single-screen platformer similar to Mario Bros. and Bubble Bobble (Game), where Dot is in a wacky dream and must blow kisses to stun various "bad guys", which she can then bump into to smooch them away. The game makes use of keyboard controls.
Like Mario Bros., both Dot and the enemies wrap around the screen, and enemies who leave the bottom of the screen appear back at the top. Bumping into enemies while they're not stunned causes Dot to lose a life. She has a limited amount of kisses (which are shown as hearts) she can launch forward, but can replenish them by picking up hearts. Additionally, she can bump into TNT pickups to stun all enemies on the screen.
Each enemy has different point values, based on how high they are on the screen.
A mini-golf game similar to The Wacky World of Miniature Golf, where Dot plays through nine holes of wacky miniature golf, all while dodging various obstacles through proper timing, aiming (with the cursor) and power (with the shot meter). The game makes use of mouse controls.
Similar to other PC golf games at the time, like the Links (Franchise) series, she starts each hole in a behind-the-back perspective. When she reaches close to the hole, it shifts to a top-down perspective, where she must gauge not only the terrain, but also various obstacles.
