Overview
Top Trumps: NBA All Stars is a sports-themed collectible card game developed and digitally published by Ideas Pad for the PlayStation Portable (Platform) (as a PlayStation minis title) in Europe on June 13, 2012 and in North America on August 21, 2012. It later received a retail release by GMG Play (Company) in North America for the Nintendo 3DS (Platform) on October 8, 2012, and for the Nintendo DS (Platform) on October 24, 2012. An adaptation of the Winning Moves collectible card game Top Trumps (Franchise), NBA All Stars builds on the rules of the real-life card game with elements from professional basketball (such as ball possession through winning trumps, and scoring by winning while at the basket). It is officially licensed with the National Basketball Association (Concept), and is based on the official packs (with teams, players, and stats from the 2010-2011 NBA season for its cards). The game includes multiple modes, including a single-player season, ad-hoc multiplayer, and bonus basketball-themed mini-games. Players can choose whether to pick from one of the 30 NBA teams at the time or an "All Stars Team" in which players trade low-ranked players as they defeat teams.
