Garcia "Fucking" Hotspur is the Hispanic demon hunting protagonist of Suda 51's surreal third-person shooter, Shadows of the Damned. Garcia must travel to Hell in order to rescue his innocent girlfriend Paula from the clutches of Fleming, the Lord of Demons.

Elliot Thomas

Elliot Thomas was once a young boy who fell to his death in an attempt to fly using a winged suit. After dying he became one of Fleming’s VIPs and eventually gained the form a gigantic demonic bird.
Fleming

Fleming is the main antagonist of Shadows of the Damned and the unopposed Lord of Demons.
George Reed

Originally a human who could never sate his ravenous hunger, George ate himself to death and impressed Fleming, the Lord of Hell, who transformed George into one of his murderous demon lieutenants.
Giltine Grim

Giltine Grim is the oldest of the Sisters Grim who died after slipping on the remains of their pet dog which caused her to fall into the well. She is first seen when she decapitates Elliot and then later fights Garcia in a demonic library.
Justine Divangelo

Justine Divangelo was originally an overweight opera singer until she killed herself in the pursuit of beauty. As a demon she serves as one of Fleming's VIPs, and transforms into a giant robot to do battle with Garcia in a 2-D side-scrolling segment.
Kauline Grim

Kauline Grim is the middle of the Sisters Grim who died from starvation after falling into a well while trying to pull her sister Maras out. She is fought in the woods outside of the City of the Dead.
Maras Grim

Maras Grim is the youngest of the Sisters Grim who tumbled down into a well and presumably died from starvation afterwards. She decapitates George for his failure and later confronts Garcia in the sewers beneath the City of the Damned.
