I know I will, I haven't played in a while so it'll should be fun to go back. I could be getting about 100,000 xp a game!!! I'll get to 100 in no time, I'm at 54 now so I've got a ways to go.
Gears of War 2
Game » consists of 13 releases. Released Nov 07, 2008
Join Delta Squad once more in the fight against the Locust Horde, in this "bigger, better and more badass" sequel to the 2006 smash hit.
Will you be playing Gears 2 again for the 20x xp tomorrrow?
I might end up buying the All Fronts and playing during this event.
I've never played Gears multiplayer (spent all my time in Horde mode) but I've always thought about how I should give it a try - maybe this will be the kick in the pants that puts me in there.
(...probably won't actually end up doing it but still, I can pretend I will)
MP was crap. Surprised to know that there even is XP. Horde mode had shitty matchmaking, so I never played that either.
I completely forgot there was even experience levels in multiplayer. I still can't picture it. Did they unlock anything?
Better bring more than a couple of guys." FUCK YES. I hate the matchmaking, but I'll grind some Horde with buddies. "

Protip for everyone choosing their session's difficulty level: Finishing 2 rounds at 1x20x is better than being annihilated 30 seconds into the first round of 3x20x.
May the Cogs be with you. :)
" Do you get XP in horde mode? "nm, I was always playing "custom" horde, not "ranked" which I assume doesn't award XP.
" @pweidman: It's legit. This pretty much has the whole story. Rod Fergusson basically had to cut it off so it didn't get even more ridiculous. "Exactly I'm gonna play Horde mode all day and level lol.
" @SoothsayerGB said:I think XP was added months after its initial release. The MP was amazing. Best 3rd person shooter mechanics. Also you didn't even know there was xp? Shows how much you gave it a chance. "" MP was crap. Surprised to know that there even is XP. Horde mode had shitty matchmaking, so I never played that either. "
Anyway, I'm willing to play the game, but I never bought all the maps, and I'm not sure if I want to.
Haven't even played the multiplayer on the game. I suppose I can finally give it a try, though I'm gonna be dominated the entire time.
Yea I'm going to be playing it, I find when Epic gives these generous points games seem to be much faster to find. I still really enjoy Gears 2 so its a very easy game for me to put in the old Xbox 360.
" @Clinkz said:The only maps I bought were the cold front ones." @SoothsayerGB said:I think XP was added months after its initial release. I started playing Gears 2 again after the last 8x XP week and still played it a bit every other day or so. I'm rank 57, so hopefully if I play enough, I'll make it to 100 because I've become pretty good at the game.
Get a few buddies together and play social matches. By changing your locale you can be 100% sure of getting host, and no one will join. Social bots are still pretty tough, in Wingman at least
I doubt this will be enough to get to 100, but I'll definitely be rocking the Gears 2 multiplayer for the next couple of days. Horde mode must get you tons of XP now.
Im playing all night tonight when I get home from work...add me, we can play some horde and lvl up!!! TheReaper2950
The MP really wasn't good. Gears 1 was great, but Gears 2 was a shitstorm. Did you play it near to when it came out? It was practically unplayable. 5 minutes to find a game you lagged out of. Then there were loads of glitches, and overall it felt more sluggish than Gears 1, it really wasn't as good as the first." @SoothsayerGB said:

" What's the point? XP in the game doesn't give you anything. "It gives you gamerscore and a bigger e peen.
So how much did you guys level up? When I fired up the game I saw I was level 1. Not sure why the game completely reset my rank. I think I used to be 18 or something. I played annex and got to rank 2, and then went to Horde. After 3 quick rounds I was level 8. Horde is the best way to level up because you get 3000 XP after each round because of the multiplier.
" @Clinkz said:Yes, I did and they fixed it. It wasn't as fun as Gears 1 but the cover mechanics were a lot better. I'm level 100 in the game so I did play it alot...The MP really wasn't good. The last two times I've tried to play online, it wouldn't connect be to a game and would loop in the party search of death crap. So I switched on Gears 1. That game feels so fresh and pure compared to 2.
