The hype machine rolled into town and I had a ticket to get on. The view wasn't any different than the last time I took this trip but, the ride was still fun. I found the first gears game's controls a little to loose and a story that wasn't that compelling. Gears 2 has a very tight story that is enjoyable and keeps the player wanting to press forward to the next checkpoint. First off this should have been 4 person co-op campaign, Halo 3 set the bar and Gears 2 should have followed their lead. The game play is one of a kind, the campaign is deep and sophisticated, and ultimately Epic was able to build off of Gears 1, which was by far a personal favorite. Gears of War 2 is a continuation of the smash hit 360 game Gears of War.
