All three of these standard rifles are incredible in their own way, and I love using each one, but I can't ever decided which one is best all around. Anybody got some helpful information to help a fellow Gear?

Retro Lancer by far.

Hammerburst has been superior for me.

It all depends on the user's play style.

Gimmie that Retro Lancer Baby.  Then the train will be a smooth ride.

Retro, bayonet charge is bad ass.

i'm better with the hammerburst, mostly because i can go into first person Iron Sights with it for precision.   

I like the Hammerburst.  I like semiautomatic.  

Lancer is my favourite but all are unique.

Retro Lancer doesn't play. I put fools down quickly. 

I switch between Retro and Hammerburst.

Depending on my mood, Retro and Lancer are my go to rifles. Retro is awesome for spray & pray into large crowds when firing from the hip but the new Lancer is great for slowing people down at a distance (KotH on Thrashball for instance).

Retro Lancer by far.

I'd say the Retro Lancer is the closest to being the best overall, but again it depends o the users play style.

I lean Hammerburst, but they are all good and have their uses. I mix it up pretty regularly.

Well the best for me is the Retro Lancer and Lancer..... I don't use the Hammerburst.
But I think the best overall is in the following Retro, Hammerburst, Lancer.
It also depends because Retro is more of a close range, Hammerburst is long range and Lancer is kinda both.
That's my opinion.

I like the Retro Lancer.

It really depends on how you like to play...i perfer the reg lancer..but i play around with the others as well. They're all fun weapons.

My favorite is the Lancer. The chainsaw is actually viable now since you wont get instantly stunned once it's revved. Its got a LOT of bullets per mag so you can lay down the fire on multiple targets. And with the perfect active reload buff it sounds like a bullet hose, which i like. It's also just badass; who wouldn't want to have a gun that can cut people in half?

I also like how flexible it is. You can hold back double barreled shotgun chargers and do decent damage from far away, though it's outclassed at either of these ranges by the retro and the hammerburst. Which makes sense balance-wise.

So ultimately flexibility + badassery > specialization from either of the other 2 for me.

Retro Lancer as long as they didn't nerf it to all high hell.

I prefer the standard Lancer, I like the reliability of the increased accuracy.

I really like the Hammerburst, especially when someone decides to charge at me with a Retro Lancer before they even get close.

so ive just been playing. god damn i love the retro-lancer. it sucks at long range, but meh, who cares about long range lol.

the bayonet charge is HILARIOUS. it's great against shotgun rushers too.

I like the Lancer for as best all-rounder. Chainsaws never get old to me. That being said I cant stop choosing the Retro, even although that beast eats bullets it's too satisfying to run screaming at some dude before impaling him and shaking his twitching corpse off of the blade.

The Lancer has seen the least changes across the 3 games, I'd like to think this is because it's the weapon in the least need of any change (that & it's kind of iconic within the Gears-verse).

A gun with a chainsaw on the end remains my favourite ^_^
