I, I'm sure with a TON of others, am extremely excited about Gears of War 3 and cannot wait to get my game on with this. I was reading the Wikipedia page for Gears of War 3 earlier when I noticed this statement in the unlockables section of the page:

It was also confirmed on June 24, 2011 that completing required achievements from Gears of War and Gears of War 2 will earn the player new weapon skins and medals in Gears of War 3.

So here is my question. The subject of the thread pretty much says it all: Will gaining achievements in the first Gears of War for PC also count as the original game? Granted, the achievements are still achievements on Live. Thanks for your input!

I think it's a separate set from the 360 version, so I'd doubt that.

@Ghostiet: Grreeeaatt...I was hoping that wasn't the case. I would preferrably contact Epic but I can't find their contact info. Also, I don't want to make it a big deal. If I have to, I'll just download the original on Xbox Live.

The PC version has it's own exclusive unlocks that you can't get anywhere else. (Chrome Weapons I think, but I'm not sure)

Yes, you need at least one achievement on Gears 1 PC and you'll unlock a skin.
