When you first get Gears of War 3 which game mode will you play first? multiplayer or the campaign?

I almost always play campaign first in games. I am more interested in seeing how the story ends than playing MP for this game. I did like the beta a lot though.

My friends and I have a plan to go through campaign on Insane the night it comes out, so that unless something changes in the plans.

The campaign. I won't play multiplayer, other than horde mode...
 
I hope they wrap up the story pretty good. Then move on to a new franchise.

probably gonna play a bit of the campaign once I get home at midnight, then once my other friends are ready, gonna hit up some Horde mode! Honestly I've never been wild about the competitive multiplayer in the gears games, I'm sure I'll give it a try though

Campaign definitely, then a bunch of Horde, then it'll probably go back on the shelf.

Shouldn't you experience it in hard mode, first? Then you'll somewhat know what to expect from insane...

Well, actually I had completely forgotten that you need to unlock Insane for some dumb reason, but I find it more fun to experience something really difficult with no prior knowledge of the games layout. It's what kept me pushing against the maniacal wall of death that is Super Meat Boy. That extreme level of challenge infuriates me to no end but overcoming it? My god, it's the best thing in the world.

@MariachiMacabre: sounds like you'll be playing it twice... I believe they are planning on keeping the difficulty setting structure the same as the past two games. In other words, you need to beat the game on any difficulty first to unlock Insane difficulty... just sayin...

Campaign. I'm scared to go into multiplayer because I missed the Beta. But then again, I've played Gears before...I'll get back to you

Um Beast Mode

I'm not buying it, but if i were, it'd be singleplayer only.

Campain, gears multiplayer never interested me.

I'm going to wait on the campaign until all the new players know what to make of a football player running around with a golden retro lancer.

Campaign obviously. After that I'll play the shit out of Horde and multiplayer.

Usually MP, but considering how stupid everyone will be on it and the fact that it's dumbed down so much I'll do campaign.

Definitely story first, then Horde 2.0. Not really a fan of MP at all. I prefer working together against the Locust in Horde. PLUS, I'm very interested in the new base-building. Cannot wait for this game!

I can't imagine anyone playing the multiplayer first.

I  will bounce back and forth. I played lot's of horde mode at comic-con and was so blown away, that it would be impossible for me to just not play it when i get the game.

I'll probably play through the campaign a couple of times with some friends and then never touch it again, like the two first games. No interest in the competitive multiplayer.

i am playing the co op campaign at the midnight release with my fellow clan members on insane until we beat it. then off to multiplayer

Mostly campaign with some multiplayer sprinkled in after I finish the first couple Acts.

Campaign, and it's nice to see everyone thinks so to. Also, this could have been a poll.

I love those guys!

I'm going to play campaign first. Several times. I already played a whole bunch of the beta so the multiplayer is a known quantity at this point.

Campaign, mostly because I let my gold lapse and I don't want to start paying again for just one game. I did love the multi in Gears 2 though...

Definitely the single player but I'm also really excited for the multiplayer in this game based on my experience with the beta. They're making it more accessible this time which is really exciting. But yeah, single player for sure. It's always been the main reason why I play the Gears games.

3 player cooperative baby! It's the first thing i'm doing and there's no other way to go!!! Well okay that is just my opinion, but still THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO GO!!!

Ditto. If I even get this game to begin with.

Campaign co-op most likely. Gotta see about the story first. Then hours and hours of Horde mode I predict. Vs. mp will be sporadic at best and the last priority.

CO-OP first on normal than insane with my buddy.

Campaign co op on hardest setting with my cousin, then straight into Horde mode.
 
Feel like I said this before, but I couldn't find my response in the topic so oh well.

Campaign on Hardcore followed by Insane. Then crack on with multiplayer.

I'm not sure if I am getting or not, but if I do it will be for the multiplayer only. I only play a few single player games a year, and the single player of the Gears of War series doesn't interest me.

Multiplayer stuff first to check out the new modes for a bit, then start playing the campaign. 

Already played the shit out of the beta, so I'm going headfirst into campaign.
