Ha. The guys have actually made some surprisingly uncanny predictions throughout the years. Like when they were discussing how the Gears trilogy would end, with the whole ''taking off the doo-rag'' when they're talking bout Gears 2. There was also Brad's suggestion during the Uncharted 3 QL that Naughty Dog should develop a horror game, and then of course The Last of Us is announced.

@yummylee: Is last of us really horror though? Haven't paid much attention but I thought it was more postapocalyptic survival-action, not really scary.

@dystopiax: There's definitely a lot of elements of horror in there, specifically the sections involving the mutants.

It's more just the 4 Maps and value proposition thing. Although, there WERE maps on the Gears 3 disc, so I wouldn't be surprised if it continued.

Jeff also perfectly predicted the end to Gears 3 in one Bombcast. It's quite obvious he is able to open tears in Game-Review-Space and play Blitz with his future self while shooting the latest shit about future video games. Why do you think he's always so cynical and hard to get excited? Jeff has already seen it all..

A while ago I was tempted to go back and listen to the old Bombcasts and do some vague statistics on how accurate the guy's predictions were and make a blog out of it or something. Once I finished Uni I think I might actually do this.

I did just that. In 08-09 they are talking about how they expect Duke Nukem Forever to come out in about a year and that the current console generation must be ending soon.
