    After the cult success of their 8-bit Master System, Sega decided to give gamers a taste of their arcade capabilities with a 16-bit console. Known worldwide as the Mega Drive but called Genesis in the US, it provided graphics and sound a couple of steps below their popular System 16 arcade cabinets. The Mega Drive/Genesis turned out to be Sega's most successful console.

    I've been trying forever now. I used to play it all the time when I was a kid. You're an egg. It's an adventure game... with puzzle aspects, I think. I think early on you climb this beanstalk. Takes place in a fantasy setting. Really, that's all I can remember. I've tried google, but can't seem to find it anywhere. I appreciate any help you guys can give.

    One of the Dizzy games, perhaps? I've never played one, so I don't know about this beanstalk, but I know that the main character looks like an egg.

    Dammit. I thought you guys had it, but then I looked at all the games. They were too old and none of them are for the Sega Genesis (Mega Drive). I never owned any of the consoles that those were on either, except the PC. The character looks like it could be right, though. Too bad too, when I saw Codemasters, I thought that it could actually be a good game.

    @FunExplosions: Is it the Dizzy series or a different series altogether? I did find Fantastic Dizzy which appeared on the Mega Drive. According to walkthrough I checked a minute ago, there's a beanstalk at one point in that game too. Wikipedia also mentions some puzzle aspects in it too. If it's not that game I'll eat my hat.
