    Trivia

    • According to an old Twitter post of his own, Geoff Keighley recorded some voice lines for Rise of the Triad in 1995.
    • He co-hosted the show G4TV.com, alongside Tina Wood and Laura Foy, from 2004 to 2005.
    • He appeared on Fox News to defend Mass Effect during the controversy over the sex scene that can be found in the game.
    • Keighley unknowingly appeared in the "debits" section of Blood II on the game's launch. The section, which targeted figures and companies which Blood developer Monolith took issue with, listed Keighley as having "...transparently-beholden rants, while not even trying to appear neutral or evenhanded, kept us mildly amused. Very mildly." The debits section of the game's credits was removed in subsequent releases of the game, with a public apology extended to Keighley by then-head of GT Interactive, Ron Chaimowitz.
    • As a direct result of the incident, Keighley would cite Blood II as his least favorite game of all time during an August 28, 2011 episode of Bonus Round.
    • He has stated that his favorite games of all time are Monkey Island 2 and Day of the Tentacle, although he loves many of the old adventure games put out in the heyday of Sierra and LucasArts. He credits them as the games that inspired him to want to be a part of the industry.
    • His favorite developer is Valve, although he admits he may be biased due to his close ties with the developer, and his work on "The Final Hours" series of documentaries.
    • Keighley has said Game Informer's Andy McNamara is the game journalist he most respects in the industry.
    • His face appears in Among Us as a wearable cosmetic, made available to promote The Game Awards 2020 and Summer Game Fest Kickoff 2021.
