I have a copy of this sitting on my shelf for the DS. I'm thinking of keeping it sealed and just buying it on the iPad instead. Just wondering if anyone has played both versions, which is better?

I've played it on the DS, but the controls are simple enough that a bigger and better quality screen seems like it would be a more enjoyable experience.

@EVO: Why do you want to keep it sealed? If you already own it, it's great on the DS. It's also fine on the iPad, but why buy the game twice?

Personally, I would keep that gold sealed. Get it digitally on the iPad.

There is nothing the DS version does that the iPad couldn't handle.

I've only played the DS version but I'm sure the iPad version is just fine too.

@EVO: I mean, if you didn't already have a DS copy, at this point the iPad version is infinitely easier to get ahold of than trying to track down a DS copy from Amazon or eBay.

But yeah, I guess if you want to make a quick buck, I'm sure the selling price of the DS version would pay for the iOS version several times over. Both versions are fine.

I should've mentioned that I have an iTunes gift card, so I'd essentially get it for free.

I wouldn't say that's necessarily "free", as you could spend that iTunes gift card on another game app now or in the future.

Though, hey, it sounds like you really want to do this and keep the DS game in its package. Which is a fine idea and more power to ya.

It's scaled up on the iPad in a way that you can see how the art works.

For me it was a big secret how they got it to look like that, whether it was 2D or polygonal or what the trick was, then I got it on iPad and was like "Oh, duh."

So if that's something you don't want spoiled, then DS.

I figured it out when I went to look for .gifs of the panic dance.

Would you say that that the upscaling is an upgrade or downgrade overall? I personally was not a fan of the "remastered" Phoenix Wright art so I have my doubts.

Also, did they reprint the DS version? I could have sworn that Amazon prices were above $50 the last time I checked (same goes for every PW game, which now all under $30).
