    Giant Bomb's Game of the Year Awards celebrates 2019's best and worst in the world of video games.

    This year's format continued the style that was introduced in 2018. The first three days were devoted to discussing over 100 games that came out in 2019 in chronological order. During these discussions, any game could be put up for nomination in one of the available categories. The final two days of deliberations are where awards were decided based on the nominations.

    The number of categories was reduced from ten to five this year.
