    Giant Bomb's Game of the Year Awards celebrates 2022's best and worst in the world of video games.

    This year, GOTY moved back to the traditional mid-December time while still being broadcast live, which began in 2021.

    All three days of deliberations took place within a virtual space via Tower Unite including a recreation of the CBSi podcast room.

    For the Top 10 Games of the Year, the format changed this year to mimic Eurovision's point system. Once the list had been whittled down to twenty games, each staff member filled out a ballot with their top five picks. From those picks, points were tallied, and a final Top 10 was established.
