In GiDon Duet players control a small white ball through colorful obstacle courses. Players can switch into and out the background of the stage to avoid obstacles. Scattered around the levels are targets. The player must pop from the background into the center of these targets to score points. Once all the targets at hit the level exit opens. Players are score by how accurately the hit targets and how quickly they complete a level.
The game also support a completely in-game level editor to create their own levels. Levels can then be shared by pasting the text string into the import level text box.
