    Overview

Gilbert Huph is a character who appears in the 2004 film the Incredibles.

He is the head of Insuricare, the seedy insurance company where Bob Parr works an office job. The company's aim is to make as much money as possible, and offer little help to customers in need.

    The Incredibles

After Mr. Incredible is sued by several of his saviours, he retreats to his Bob Parr identity for the Superhero Relocation Program and finds work as an office clerk for Insuricare.

Whilst secretly assisting one of his clients, Bob Parr is visited by an angry Gilbert Huph - who storms in and demands to ask why Bob is authorizing payment on the Walker policy. After receiving an answer, Huph wants to know how Bob is keeping Insuricare financially stable whilst "giving cheques to every Harry Hardluck and Sally Sobstory" that gives a phone call.

A few days later, Bob Parr is working before he is called into Mr. Huph's office. Huph reveals that he is not happy with Bob revealing information of Insuricare's inner workings to his customers. Bob asks if its illegal or wrong to help customers, which Huph replies no but says that Insuricare is supposed to help the stockholders.

During Huph's speech about clocks, Bob notices a mugging on the street. Huph tries to get Bob's attention, but he wants to help the victim - who he shows to Huph out of the widow. Huph jokingly replies that he hopes that the victim isn't covered by Insuricare. As Bob attempts to leave the office, Huph threatens to fire him. Bob stops himself, and returns to Huph.

Looking out of the window, Bob sees that the mugger escaped and becomes infuriated that he couldn't do anything to help. Bob unleashes his anger out on Huph, and throws him against the wall, Huph crashes into several walls before landing against a file cabinet severely injured and unconscious. Bob quickly realizes the mistake he has made.

We then see Mr. Huph recouperating on a bed in hospital and Rick Dicker leaves the room, presumably after performing a mind wipe. Outside of the room, Bob nervously asks if he's okay and soon realizes that he is fired. Rick reveals that he now has to spend hundreds of thousands of taxpayer's dollars to keep the company quiet, for damages and to erase memories. Just as he's about to leave, Rick offers to relocate Bob and his family but he politely declines.

It is assumed that Huph recovers from his injuries and continues working at Insuricare.
