The fans asked and Sony listened. The US PlayStation.Blog has announced that God of War 1&2 will be remastered for the PS3 . The games will come out on a single Blu-Ray disc and will called God of War Collection and will feature the following: 

• God of War 1&2 in running in full 720p HD.
• Remastered anti-aliased graphics running at 60fps.
• PSN trophy support for both games.

I was going to hunt down the ps2 versions on amazon. Now Sony does this, AWESOME!

Whenever I get a PS3 (which could be before the end of this year), I'll probably pick this up. I loved the original God of War, but I skipped out on the sequel for whatever reason.

Sweet, I was going to go hunt them down in preparation for GoW3, but now I don't have to go through that trouble, plus I get to play enhanced versions, happy days indeed.

This is awesome, I bought a second hand PS2 (having sold my first one) so that I could play God 2 and it proceeded to destroy every disc that got put in it.  I never did get to finish it.

its irrelevant anyway as theres seldom a visible difference between games on 360 and ps3.
Thats awesome news...getting closer to buying a ps3...I'll wait a while longer.

Sweet. That will make the whole collection playable from beginning to end so those that missed out will get the full story. Nice.
