    Kratos has come back

At long last Kratos has returned, wooo been awhile since I played a great action game. So hes back and just as pissed off as ever.

The game picks up right where the second one ends but I guess everyone knew that if they kept up with it. The first boss battle flushes the first 2 battles down the toilet but I'll leave it at that for those of you who hasn't played it.

Story: If you played the first 2 then you already know his quest it doesn't have many twist and turns his goal is simple kill the gods that have wronged him, thats it. If you think about it hes one greedy cold heart badass.

Gameplay: They added some good stuff to change the gameplay alittle bit. For example you can grab from a distance which is helpful against those bastards that fly. Its also good since jumping to where you want can be hard with all the monsters around you but I guess the same can be said about the grabbing, but I guess its a good to have choices. In its core it is it still a god of war game, I wished they gave other animations for brutal kills with other weapons instead of automatically going to the blades but its god of war so I guess we'll all use to it.

Magic goes along with each of your 4 weapons you get in the game (Bow doesn't have magic) It makes it easier on the hands and mind, trying to remember which button is for what can sometimes be a pain and when I was playing through I had a hard time remember what L1 and L2 did in the heat of battle so I like that they didn't map every single magic to a certain button, just one magic depending on your weapon.  Gotta love kratos doing those brutal kills, What I also love is how different each boss is.

Visuals/Sound: from the first battle to the end its beautiful but I expect as much from the Ps3 exclusives. The first battle was impressive though but just like the 2 god of wars before it, it shouldn't be a surprise. Sound was great too, the voices fit nicely but thats really all I know about voice acting, I can't find a fault in it. I can only judge if its really bad, like a JRPG dubbing. I wasn't ever good with music so I won't be saying anything about it, but if you liked god of war 1 and 2s music then you won't be disappointed

In the end its a great ride, it will take you about 9-11 hours depending on how hard you make the game, I started off on hard all the way to basically the end, I was like one big fight away from the last boss but I just wanted to see the ending so I went down to easy. Ps3 owners wait patiently for Kratos to make his return but if what santa monica claims is correct it will be his only appearance on the ps3.

      GoW III review 0

A funny thing happened a few hours into God of War III: it became really, really amazing. Perhaps it was the over hyping of the first 30 minutes that so many previews had gushed about. Perhaps it was the considerable increase in hack’n’slashery that I had done this year. Maybe it was even the incredibly misguided Platinum trophy runs of Dante’s Inferno that I had done, but I just was not into this game at all. The giant bosses, the same combat I had played with twice before, and the puzzles whic...

Please note - This review and the videos being shown may contain spoilers, so read and watch at your own risk if you have not beaten the game yet. The God of War franchise has been unrivaled in terms of pushing the action genre and the Playstation consoles to their limits with amazing graphics, an epic sense of scale, memorable battles against foes that are way bigger than Kratos, the Ghost of Sparta, and one of the best theatrical scores in the gaming business. God of War III has been a long t...
