What is it for you?
For the record it can be any game Suda was involved with.
Personally mine has to be Lollipop Chainsaw. The game is extremely fun, with smart system for unlocking stuff, which makes the gameplay more enjoyable, and interesting, it also has a creative and good story, and endearing characters. Pretty cool. Might be the only game embracing Suda's colourful personality that I fully enjoy.
I only played Killer is Dead. And it was stylish visuals experience, was so glad that I can pick Japanese voices in pc version.
Edit: I would really freaking love it if No More Heroes remaster appeared on pc.
Killer 7, hands down. The gameplay is rough at times, but the presentation is insanely cool, I like that structurally it is a series of vignettes that only loosely connect to each other, and then the actual writing and story is really weird and metaphysical and stuff. Also it has this scene:
Killer 7. It's not style over substance ... the style is the substance. More than ten years later, the unique mystique and atmosphere of that game has yet to be re-created in any way - even the Killer is Dead game didn't come close.
I've only played three, and one was only a demo for the first No More Heroes on PS3 - really didn't like what I played, however. Of the two I've played to completion, being Shadows of the Damned & Lollipop Chainsaw, they both have likeable qualities that are marred by a laundry list of flaws - which I know is pretty much the Suda games blueprint.
Shadows of The Damned has some great humour going for it, but much of the gameplay ranges from bland to infuriating. Lollipop Chainsaw on the other hand I enjoyed playing well enough for the five or so hour long story, but I found the humour to be rather hit-and-miss.
Flower, Sun, and Rain is the only one I have played all the way through. It's one of my most favourite adventure games. I really like the simple interface and the weird mood.
I like Michigan too but I feel like it's not really in the same group. It's real silly.
Killer7 is straight-up my favourite game overall. The thing I really really dig about it is the fact that it is not a case of style over substance. Sure, the game does look cool as hell, with even just the act of moving forward stylized with the very low camera, but there is a story and consistency beneath everything, even if the plot gets outlandish, what with the destruction of the internet and air travel. It's movement system was also incredibly daring and somehow they made it work. The fact that I own the physical OST is a quiet bit of 'gamer' pride for me. Takada's soundtrack is just great (edit: Just listen to this. Best level theme in my opinion https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNIlClYUp5M).
I also only own two gaming t-shirts. One of them is a Metal Gear Solid shit, the other is Killer7.
Capcom, HD version when? PS2 emulation still has quite a few niggles.
Lollipop Chainsaw. I reeeeeally liked that game. Had a few issues with controls and such, but overall, I had a blast. I really gug the soundtrack for that game too. I thought it fit incredibly well.
Looking up his other games, I forgot he worked on Sine Mora. I remember loving that game as well. However, I also remember being disappointed in the story and characters just because the world of that game seemed so cool, but they just didn't do anything with it so it ultimately felt like a lost of wasted potential.
Of the fairly small number I've played, Killer7 without a doubt. This article explains what I love about that game far better than I could.
