Thursday Night Throwdown 11/04: GoldenEye 007
" @tracerace11 said:Go to the future into Thursday 40 minutes after the TNT starts, then post this. You'll still look kinda stupid but not much as you do now. :P" @Dross said:Holy shit. My bad. I need more sleep. "" Shouldn't this have started 40 minutes ago? "not Thursday yet, good sir. But definitely love the enthusiasm!! "
" A question for those who's playing this game; how true is it to the original game and the movie it is based off? "I've played past the Dam story arc at the moment. Initial reaction is that it feels like a flashier game with a dash of scripted action and expanded levels. Well... and it's bizarro GoldenEye like Daniel Craig was casted for Bond instead of Pierce Brosnan. That's still kinda weird. (Hoping for unlockable Pierce Bond... but I doubt it.)
Controls (and online multiplayer) are very Call of Duty (or Bond of Duty as I've seen someone put it). Not that it's a bad thing, that really depends on how you like your shooters. It's pretty sweet to aim down the sights on pistols and assault rifles.
As for how close it sticks to the movie, I'll have to get back to you when I finish the game. So far, it hits the basic plot with a few elements to update things. The Cold War aftermath angle is totally gone, I can tell you that much.
