    Before joining Mario on his quest, Goombario lived with his family in Goomba village. Goombario's field ability is tattling, where he tells Mario about the area and any NPCs around. In battle, the tattle ability tells Mario about his opponents strengths and weaknesses. After tattle is used on an enemy a health bar appears over their head, telling Mario how much health they have left. Every time Mario runs into that same type of enemy, they will display a health bar. This effect can be replicated with a "Peekaboo" badge.
