I'm basically trying to finish all the events in the game. though the license events and challenge events are probably out of the question. So I'm focusing on the remaining normal races and endurance races. I have finished 4 endurance races so far. But I still have a 4 hour, 9 hour and two 24 hour events left to do.

How crazy am I?

Also I would love to live stream this but I dont have the proper equipment to do so at a level of quality I would be happy with.

I'm doing this all in anticipation of GT6 because I am too damn excited for that game.

If you're trying to finish everything by Friday, I hope you don't have any work or school obligations because you're looking at 61 hours' worth of racing out of 96 total hours (4 days).

I'd love to see you pull it off, but man, that's a hell of a lot of monotony to put yourself through all at once. It might be more bearable if you had a stream audience watching you do it, but all by yourself...man. Sounds rough.

I'm not trying to dissuade you from doing this thing you sound very set on doing but that does seem like the kind of thing that would completely burn you out on Gran Turismo gameplay before you've even started GT6. Unless you super duper extra cant get enough of it

@euandewar: I really don't think that will hapen. I'm in late game GT5 and Ill be starting GT6 from scratch. Plus I can pour over the menus and new features.

@cloudymusic: I do not have any obligations from now til then. But yeah I probably wont finish but at least it will keep me busy.

Right now I'm on lap 78/172 of the Suzuka 1000km race, clock is at 2h:45m. I'm 1 lap ahead of second place. so I still need to pay attention cause if I screw up I can still lose the lead.

If this is what you find fun, then go for it. Personally it sounds like hell.

Its alot better than the boredom I was experiencing before I started this.

I'm just driving and listening to podcasts. Its actually pretty relaxing.

If you can't livestream it, you should at least set up a Mixlr and provide a play-by-play.

Have fun and have plenty of alcohol and caffeine. The P4 and DP endurance runs are some of the best video content on the Internet.

I would rather have a video feed with no audio.

I'm actually out of booze though it did help the first couple days but it tends to make me quit playing earlier than I would sober. But ill probably pick up some energy drinks tomorrow.

Nurburgring 4HRs 1H30M into the race. I am battling for first against the Amuse Powerhouse S2000. I am driving the RX7 TC.

I'm hoping to build a lead but damn it seems like I have to pit twice as often as the AI.

Also at this rate i'm pretty unsure that ill be able to finish them all. I might just try to do the Lemans 24hr

And I have to say that on this version of the Nurburgring the pit is hard as hell to find. you have to really thread the needle to get in, I have crashed and spun out a couple times just tying to pit.

I think I gave up on these at the 9 hour Tsukuba race. Its such a small track with no real interesting turns. Godspeed though duder.

Yeah I like Tsukuba but damn that many laps on such a small track gets dull.

I don't know how much I have left in me. I kind of want to do the lemans 24hr so I can see a day night cycle. I think that one event will carry me to the release of GT6.

@devil240z: If you want the full authentic experience, get two other duders to come and do stints during Le Mans. Not even the hardest drivers do more than 12 hours total.

Oh god I have insomnia cause i'm too excited for gt6. I really want to sleep cause i know sleep will get me that much closer to GT6. Also I have damned heart burn and i'm all out of antacids. Maybe I should drink some water.

@gatehouse: Yeah I know. I kind of thought it was dumb when they took out the ability to change to b-spec when you did a pit stop. But I hear thats back for GT6.

I have officially given up. I did 6 endurance races in like 5 days. Now I'm just watching youtube videos of people who got the game early. Doe are you getting the game?

@devil240z: I'm saving up for a PS4, so I'm passing on GT6. Which is a bummer as it's looking fantastic and I miss the old racenights. Best multiplayer times I had on that little jet-engine. Hashtag Driveclub!

I don't know how anyone could complete a 24 hour race solo, I think I would go mad if I tried it.

6 endurance races in 5 days is still crazy impressive! Good effort.

I bet that rewind function from forza and grid would be super handy
