Well looks like I'll just hold off on the PS3 version after all. Still confused as to why it's coming to PS3 first anyway. That game has traditionally been a system seller for Sony, you'd think they'd want it out on there new console as soon as possible.

Because GT games take for fucking ever. Remember when GT 5 was going to come out within a year of the PS3 launch? Yeah, right.

Are they actually going to remodel all of the cars? Or will they still be using a few hundred PS2 models?

I imagine this will be some sort of 6-9 month "game of the year" edition version type thing.

I'm sure there will be a PS4 bundle at least which might be interesting.

Personally I think it would be stupid for it to be called gt6 just call it gt7. and I hope its different' from gt6 i don't want to play the same game twice.

I would wait until we have further confirmation on this. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a translation problem, and Yamauchi believed the question he was answering was "Will there be a Gran Turismo on PS4".

they really ought to cut off the fat and get rid of alot of the duplicate cars and up-res whats left. also more tracks.

Bundle it with a sick new wheel and I know what I'll be getting next Christmas.

I really hope Polyphony can port this game right. Cell games are a bitch to port to x86 systems. So far they've only had experience with processors and architectures that some crazy old Japanese man thought would be in refrigerators.

i don't think it will come they have driveclub for next year so they will have a raicing game for next year no point int making it, yoshida said that after 2014 we could get a gt game but i think that will be a new game not GT6 Definitive version

what kind of system was a ps2 if they can do a gt from ps2 to ps3 the should be able to do x86.

@devil240z: The PS2 was pretty damn hard to work on. They've not had any experience with x86 architectures as far as I know.

oh yeah. I forgot about that. But they build these games on PCs and they have all the resources of sony so they should be able to pull it off. Though if its timely, who knows.

I bet some indie whipper snappers could re-create GT with Unity before PD could do it on their own. :P

GT6 barely has them as it is. I have gotten to the end credits and not felt like the game was trying to get me to spend any more money. I never once had to grind or even do a race more than once for extra credits. They don't even tell you that the micro transactions are in the game, you have to find them for yourself.

They didn't port a GT game from PS2 to PS3. They released a new game on PS3. Unless I'm totally missing something here.

Yes but they are essentially making the same game over and over. I wasn't intending to say it was ported but in essence that kind of is what they did/do. Or at least I would think that based on how much the games change from game to game/gen to gen. Its like the do as little work as possible to get the engine running on a new platform.
