As if people needed further proof that a huge portion of the Wii and DS audience are resistant to the same kinds of games as traditional gaming folk, and that (as a continuation of a discussion in another thread recently) they judge games based on an entirely different set of standards to us.
The DS version of Chinatown Wars sold 86,000 copies, which can't have brought in more than around 1.6 million pounds for the developer, the game must have cost that at least (very probably more) to produce.
After a hit like that, with all the assets lying around doing nothing, and the cost to port very low, it makes sense that they are bringing it to the PSP and hopefully it will find it's own audience there, one thing baffles me though, as again the cost to port is very low, it puzzles me why they havn't announced an XBLA release as well.
Oh well, Chinatown Wars, coming to a PSP near you soon. Also, this will be one of the first games available for download specifically for the PSP Go!, although Rockstar stated it will also recieve a UMD release so everyone else is not left out in the cold.
