Game Informer announced today that the cover will revealed on November 8th and the digital release will be available later that day. If you're subscribed to the physical copy, you should receive it some time between the 12th and the 17th. If you're not a subscriber, you can purchase a copy from news stands by the 16th.

oh boy. The first piece of art was fantastic and that one looks great as well. Having animals in the world like that would be awesome and they've already done it in Red Dead, so that makes a lot of sense. I'm thinking attack dogs. Could cause some controversy but I find that personally kind of funny (like how you brutally murder people in Mark of the Ninja but just knock out the dogs).

wow seriously? I think they are fantastic in the art department.

I think they've especially become god like since Red Dead. Red Dead's art and Max Payne 3's art are both top notch. The couple pieces so far from GTA V are really great. I love the use of color. The game will be very colorful which is nice compared to the duller, gray look of GTA IV.

Spring 2013? Hell yes. We all kind of figured that (except for the crazies that expected it to be out in 2012), but I was concerned that they'd say Fall 2013. ... Which I guess is still entirely possible, since everything gets pushed back nowadays.

Man, Spring is 2013 is looking ridiculous with all off the AAA releases.

So May right? That's been the Rockstar month three years running now.

I remember the mania surrounding GTA4, including my own. The whole year prior to release I would obsess about it, watch the newest trailers the moment they came out, look for any new scraps of information, and overall idolize it as the most perfect game ever to grace this planet. April 2008 couldn't come soon enough.

Then it came out. In retrospect, everyone was just as enthralled, so much so that months after the 10/10 reviews it became a meta-cliche to say how it didn't deserve most of those perfect scores.

And then... life went on. GTA4 was a transitional point in my gaming life of a sort, in which I came to accept delays and the passage of time calmly, and much more passively await the next Big Thing because despite games being srs bsns, they're still games, they'll still come out and they'll still be the best thing ever.

I'm so hyped. And damn how much has the art progressed, it's unbelievable.

GTA 5 HAS to come out before E3 during the last gasp of this generation. May 2013 at the latest.

That's what went through my mind as well. I really hope there'll be multiple protagonists (the white guy in the suit is almost assuredly a protagonist, though) as watching the three stories coincide and conflict during GTAIV was one of the best aspects across the whole game. But because the DLC was developed afterwards, there was the occasional bit of dissonance between certain characters across the different stories, like Jim suddenly becoming a black guy for the L&D and Gay Tony's flamboyant mannerisms being severely toned down (for the better mind you) in TBoGT. Though it was weird how he randomly reverted into his original incantation during that one mission when Johnny steals the diamonds during the exchange between Tony and the cook.

In any case, if it's all being developed at once, weird inconsistencies such as the stuff above theoretically shouldn't be a problem.

I always thought the art of the GTA games like 3 were great, they have the most iconic covers those games.

Dogs is cool but I hope for more animals like cats, rats, birds in the citys. And different breeds of dogs.

I did that too, last one was hiding on a walkway in New Jersey. Was so happy when I shot the fucker and 100% popped up.

New episode of The Lazlow Show for all you Lazlow fans. Normally in the past there would be a caller or two who would probe for info on the next Rockstar release but this episode is called the Unannounced Episode, as it was recorded and posted before it was announced. I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet but maybe there will be a nugget of info.

@Yanngc33: Yes, it's the official magazine of EB Games/Gamestop so I'm pretty sure that's the only place you can get it. It's usually sitting on the counter so they can try to sell you a subscription as you buy games.

...and while all this happens, I'm still sitting here...waiting patiently for info on Saints Row 4...

I think so, but that shoudn't account for the complete change in character; he temporarily turned into the very stereotype that he used to ridicule, and he was also much more flirty towards his boyfriend Evan, whom he was usually very bitchy toward. It was pretty surreal overall.
