@jimmyfenix: Messing around with the stock market is going to be so much fun. The incredibly detailed ancillary portions of Rockstar's games has always been a huge draw for me. I spent about ten hours just playing poker in Red Dead Redemption.

I suppose now would be the time for me to stay the hell away from forums and comment sections for a while. Had Red Dead spoiled for me on the day of release by some jerkoff on YouTube. Not looking for a repeat performance.

I've never really been into being hyped about the GTA franchise until this game. It's sad to say I won't get to play this game that much because of my ps3 being broken. I really hope my brother is lenient about me playing on his ps3

I'm really torn on which platform to get this on. GTA IV seemed to run better on the 360, but all the trailers and footage they've shown of V is supposedly all running on PS3 hardware. Is this a marketing ploy? Or is the 360 version slightly botched this time around?

@creamypies: I think this time around both console versions will be equal in terms of performance. I agree GTA IV ran like crap on the PS3 and the 360 version was way better. It looks like now the PS3 can perform equally or out perform the 360 with games like Bioshock infinite. Tomb Raider. Metro. Sleeping Dogs and Saints Row IV. We will see Rockstar said it will only be small differences between the two.

All we know for sure is, that it comes on multiple discs on 360, and will require an install on both platforms. Other than that, usually Rockstar games run slightly worse on PS3. Since I don't do Xbox Live Gold anymore, I'll just go with the PS3 version regardless, which looks spectacular, if all those official trailers really were recorded on legit PS3 hardware.

Regardless of how well it runs, I don't want to wait. I'll just double dip, if the urge strikes me.

Just to let you guys know, video is leaking now. All of the stuff that's on the TV in the game is being posted.

People have been (of course) being dicks and posting ending spoilers where ever they can. I didn't want to be spoiled, so now that I am, I'm hoping what I heard was just bs. I definitely don't want the same thing to happen to you guys, so remain extra vigilant in the coming days, it's only gonna get worse.

@herpderp: Apparently there are some fake ending spoilers floating around as well, so maybe you've gotten lucky and caught a bad one.

@chaser324: As far as I know only the soundtrack was leaked, so you may be right. Still, hackers are never ones to give up easily, hence why I believe more leaks will be appearing in the weeks prior to release.

@herpderp: No, there was way more audio leaked than just the radio stuff. I've heard some of it for myself, and I can assure you it was far too convincing to be fake.

More than just radio stuff... By that I assume you mean some major spoilery stuff has hit?

@herpderp: As far as I know, it's essentially all of the audio. Cutscenes, in mission, everything. Definitely some major spoiler material.

I remember when Half-Life 2 went gold and I was so freakin excited. Now though, 'gone gold' announcements don't get to me at all. Maybe it's because I mostly get games digitally these days, so 'going gold' is meaningless.

All going gold means is that the game is complete and ready to be released (or pressed). It's actually a good thing either way, because it means a delay is 99% unlikely.

@greggd: Oh yeah, I know what it means. But when I hear gone gold now it's just like "well let me download and play it if it's ready".

The textures are so damn bad, you can really see the sacrifices made.

But hey, it looks fucking fun still. Hyped.

After all this time it's finally ready and September the 17th will feel like an eternity waiting for this game.

@anwar: That was before my time as a mod, but that Arkham City situation was a bit strange.

We try to keep spoilers wrapped up as tight as possible, but there are people out there with malicious intent that are going to try to ruin things for others. There's only so many mod and staffy eyeballs to go around, so we can't guarantee we'll catch everything immediately. If you happen to see anything extremely egregious, be sure to send a PM to the mods and we'll take care of it as soon as possible.

Can we all just drop it and get along? The textures maybe aren't that great. It's somewhat expected in a game with this scale. It will bother some people more than others.

Having taken a peek at the soundtrack, I sure would love headphones being there along with car radios!
