I hope that's true duder, I'm a PC player and I love Grand Theft Auto real much.

A PC version is an inevitability, but I always have my doubts with these retailer "leaks". I always wonder if someone just messed up posting the correct platforms for the games they are allowing pre-orders for.

PC versions of past GTA games have always come out 6 or 7 months after the console version. I'm sure the same will happen again. Red Dead Redemption is the exception and not the rule when it comes to Rockstar not releasing PC versions. Also through patches they improved IV to make it decent on PC and truly figured out the engine on PC with Max Payne 3 so i'm not concerned about the quality.

I'm just happy to see it for PC on an Amazon page confirming that I will at some point be able to play it on PC. I was actually doubting it as I'd imagine it was reserved for current and the coming consoles.

If this is real, I wonder if the retailers would have the knowledge of the game using GFWL. None of the retail pages list GFWL, which would be great if all of this is accurate.

I really hope this is true at release... I'm double dipping if its not. I don't really feel bad though to me Rockstar deserves it.

With Max Payne 3 they switched to their own platform with the Rockstar Social Club for achievements and multiplayer and also Steam at the same time for achievements.

Yeah it wouldn't use GFWL. They said explicitly GTA V will use Rockstar Social Club.

There will of course be one, almost every Rockstar game has made it onto PC (sorry RDR) the only thing I hope for is that it is well optimised, GTA 4 on normal ran like absolute shit on my new computer, which can play Max Payne 3 on Ultra with 60 FPS.

If I had to guess I'd say the PC version will not be released until 8 - 12 months after console release.

We will get a 360/PS3 release first.

Then a PS4/720 GOTY edition. Possibly that will have a window of exclusivity or it'll hit PC simultaneously.

They are saying that they are just focusing on current platforms right now. The crew talks about it a bit in the GTA talk video.

Fuck Rockstar for this. I thought we were past this Console/PC stuff. No reason to not have them all available to release at once.

Well... i mean if you look at pretty much all the footage it's pretty safe to say its from the pc. NOT hating on consoles. But i mean, take a look at them again, They're abit too good looking to be only on 360 and ps3.

I wouldn't say that confirms anything. It could've just been that somebody clicked the wrong box on the site when adding/updating something.

(that's not to say that I think they'll skip a PC release, just that an online retailer listing is FAR from confirmation)

Well, the PC version is still there on both of those sites + it is on the French and UK (latter is notify of availability only) editions of Amazon as well. Sure, stores often put in place-holder release dates, but I haven't seen Amazon display versions of games that do not exist before.

I ain't paying full price for a year old game. If it does come out on a PC 8 months after the console version, I can wait 8 more to buy it for 20 bucks.
