That hat is pretty great, but I get the feeling that people who are going to spend $150 on a videogame, by and large, aren't going to wear snapback hats.

GTA is one of my all time favorite franchises, but it's nothing more than a fun killing and thieving simulator, it has no charm or lore about it that would make me pay for any "swag."

Alan Wake, Witcher 2, that's the kind of charming and special title with characters and universes worth the posters and swag. GTA is great at letting me be a sick gangsta, but nothing more.

I kind of want all that DLC stuff but... I REALLY don't want all the stuff that goes with it nor more importantly do I want to pay $150 for it.

@jouseldelka: I don't know, I might plop the extra 20 bucks just for that map. That's the only cool piece of "swag" in these bundles.

Nobody knows for sure. Xbox 360 and PS3 are the only 100% confirmed platforms. Everything else is just hope and speculation.

@demoskinos: All of the important dlc comes with the 80 dollar version. The only dlc exclusive to the 150 dollar version is "classic" character skins for multiplayer, and you get early access to a garage (which will unlock in the game anyway), plus 2 cars that sound unnecessary. Overall, that 80 dollar version might be worth it.

Plus, that blue print map is pretty god damn rad

The additional stuff certainly sounds pretty appealing, but it's still a little too pricey... Maybe the hype will overwhelm me enough as it gets closer to release, but until then I'm feeling pretty OK in sticking with the regular edition. I wonder when they say classic characters for the MP, they mean they'll also dive a little deeper into the PS2 era GTAs as well. Since they're adding them to the 'character creator', I assume they'll only be parts that you can piece together to make the characters. Still, the possibility of roaming around as a GTAV-quality Tommy Vercetti would be pretty sweet.

Meh. None of that interests me and I'm still waiting for a PC release. Sucks that they can't ever release PC at the same time. I thought we had moved past that shit as a medium. The game always ends up getting spoiled since every game site will be going nuts and doing nothing but talk about the game for a week or two when it comes out. Then by the time the PC one releases there's no excitement around it anymore.

I'm a little to interested in this game to NOT get the collectors edition.

Also, keep in mind... Max Payne 3 had a similar special edition with the classic characters bonus. Eventually, it was sold as DLC. You most likely won't be missing out on that. Although, the collectors edition may make you one of the few to have it for the first month or two.

For $150, that's not a whole lot in there to justify that price. They could've thrown in a replica mask of one the characters.

I'm going to buy the regular version, then maybe like GTA4 these will go for fairly cheap down the road and i might think about it then. I do not care enough for the things in the $80 version, and for $150 i could buy GTA5 and another new game with change left over, which i find much more appealing then some DLC and swag i will just leave around the house.

@optix12: The blimp is available with any preorder, not just the special, and collector's editions.

Well, if it's anything like Max Payne 3, they'll be full skins, not just parts. In fact, in Max Payne 3, the classic skins were only available for use in regular deathmatch mode and none of the more fleshed-out parts of the multiplayer. My guess is that this is going to be a similar situation.

I'm getting the Collector's Edition. I would only do this for GTA. I don't buy special editions, the only time I've ever felt the price was justified was when I bought GTAIV's Special Edition for $90. I still use that lockbox and dufflebag regularly, and have my keys on the awesome Rockstar keychain. $150 is a bit much, but I like the things that they're offering. I'm a little unsure about the deposit bag, but I'm sure I'll make some use out of it. Ha, like someone said, as much as I like that Los Santos hat, I'm sure I won't be wearing it very often, if at all.

I think it would have been awesome if they had included one of the masks they used in this mission. I'm particularly liking the monkey mask that Trevor wears.

@thegreatguero: Yep, that's the one I had in mind. It looks awesome, and it's probably not that expensive to make.
