Is there any reason to believe there won't be a PC version?

What part of "we're not talking about the possibility of a PC version right now in hopes of getting you to buy the console version as soon as it comes out" do people not understand? This is the same game they played when GTA4 was about to come out. Ah fuckit, I'll sign anyway.

I'm so used to the GTA games on console I am perfectly fine with having to wait or not even be expecting GTA V on PC.

They already said they are considering it, I'm expecting them to talk about it more fully once the console versions release.

I'd like to request that we instant ban anyone who posts an online petition on this site. No warnings, just straight bans for being so fucking stupid.

I can't imagine that there won't be a PC version, it's just going to be late (again).

As I said to a friend of mine, I'd be on board with this petition if Rockstar didn't have a history of doing bad PC ports for their recent games.

Doesn't make much sense considering how amazing the PC version of Max Payne 3 was.

Why would you buy an only game for a 7-8 Year OLD Console that is near as dead.

Fuck this. The piracy rate for PC games is so out of hand, that I could guarantee that the majority of petition signers would be doing so with no intention of actually paying for a copy (and yes, I know these metrics would be impossible to actually research).

There doesn't been to be a petition. It'll come out on PC 6 months after the console release just like every other GTA game.

My dad is Rockstar and he said no PC, but a Mac version will come out a week before the console launch.

The main point of our Petition is to collect as much as GTA Fans from all over the world, I myself come from Pakistan (Which may be a shocking news to any of you)

what does that even have to do with anything? Even if I wasn't a PC gamer I can still tell you that their ports haven't been great more than they have been.

I would take Red Dead any day over GTA 5 on pc.

These petitions are usually there just to show the publishers that a market exists for the game, so I don't see anything wrong with it. That said, I'd much rather get a Red Dead port.

To be honest I think this has a better chance of being on PC because its developed by Rockstar and its late generation so I think this petition is unnecessary.

Wasn't Red Dead like LA Noire and developed by another team? I don't actually know. I was under the impression it was, though.

@Animasta: You are wrong i have been a GTA Fan since Vice City i know that Vice City ran at a click of a button same with SA, But IV screwed it up, DX11 has a lot to do, If you still aren't sure then please do a search and don't take yourself as a bigger personality over me just because im not a usual here.

I'd expect a delayed PC version. I know RDR didn't get a PC version, but GTA is a nailed-on zillion unit selling franchise like CoD. It just makes sense to plan on making it as widely available as possible. It also makes sense not to do so in any fashion which undermines the console launch though. GTA 4 PC wasn't announced until after the console release, iirc.

Y'all are freaking out about nothing. Anyone who actually believes that GTA V won't be on PC sometime next year is a crazy person.

It's pretty shitty, that this late in the cycle they're still pulling this move.

They should want to show off the best they can do, put out their best product. I don't want to play the next big game on a old-ass console, those things have been dead for a while now (to me).

It's obviously going to end up on PC but waiting more than a month is just dumb. I just wish this gen would end already, I'd happily play it on the next xbox or PS.

The only reason to look into a PC game for something like this is teh mods. And teh mods better be hella good. Still would love to see some RDR mods. OHHHH WAIT....

I'm pretty sure it will eventually come to the PC, even if it isn't that good of a port.

this petition just make me wish they NEVER make a PC version of it.

the ports STILL came like 6 months afterwards.

Also, SA was frame locked at 25 FPS (you could unlock it, of course, but still) and it had plenty of errors/glitches. and I'm going to guess that I've played a lot more of either game than you have.

Rockstar thinks PC gamers are entitled pirates with too high standards.

Lol what? GTAIV ran great.. it's the best looking version. You crazy fool. Well it ran great for me.. and the mods certainly helped making it look amazing.

But at the end of the day this is just a marketing tactic. It will come out, more of a when not if.

Advocating for petitions aren't something we permit on the Giant Bomb forums. They distract the community from productive discussion points beyond petitions and generally fall under our spam rules.
