I'm normally a pc gamer but I made an exception and got gta 5 for the 360. Problem is I don't have any display to hook it to except a crappy old 19 inch SDTV. When I use that crappy old CRT it blurs the fuck out of the tutorial text, and the in game phone is unreadable. Is there any trick or color correction thing I could do to fix this until I can get around to getting a new display. (thanks for no PC version rock star.-.-)

Text being hard to read has been a problem on SD TVs since the 360 launched way back in 2005. The only solution is to hook up your monitor to the 360 with a vga cable or some CRT tvs did have hookups for component and that would make the game look sharper. I did that back when I got my xbox until i got an HDTV. I am assuming this is an older xbox with no HDMI.

PC version will come and no There is no option because almost no one has a SDTV anymore who plays games anyway.

This would work, as a pc gamer myself bought it with my console because knew that wouldnt be able to play on main tv for long hours. Might be a little late to still get it but trust me that GTA5 is worth it. Recently played FIFA 13 on a CRT and the ball was about one pixel big :( Thats not the way you want to experience GTA5. I would buy the cable just for GTA5, game runs amazing and no reason to wait for PC version.

Text is pretty small for me sitting a few feet away from my 32" hdtv. Wouldn't have minded an option to blow up the detail view when checking emails.

I'm surprised no review mentioned this - I think cause a lot of reviewers play it in the office on 21" monitors and sitting really close to them - but at home on a TV I can hardly read it.

The map and mini-map are fucking garbage too. Someone out there in video game land needs to think a bit harder and reinvent the wheel for some of this shit, because poorly defined icons and a lack of custom color adjustability for color blindness are getting really fucking old. I apologize for being so vulgar, but this game is royally pissing me off.

Frankly I'm surprised that GTAV even runs on a SDTV. But I also found the cell phone text hard to read during the quicklook. So I think your problem is not only related to SDTV.

Everything is very easy for me to make out. But I am also a Jeff; my TV is 50" and I am two feet away from it.

Oh no don't get me wrong, when I'm in my 3rd floor entertainment lounge, playing on my 84" Ultra HD wall panel the text is super crisp - I'm just saying sometimes when I'm in my smaller living room and gaming on one of my smaller TV's that it's an issue.
