    Graphic Filter

    Concept »

Graphic Filters are removable filters that change the look of the graphics in a game. They can range from making a game look like an old film, to smoothing the pixellated graphics of an old game.

    Short summary describing this concept.

    Notable Examples

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune features a  lot of unlockable filters as bonus features. The most memorable one is the 'Next Gen' filter which heavily desaturates the colours, adds a comical amount of light bloom and depth of field effects. This is a parody of a trend at the time of games boasting 'next generation graphics' while actually only artificially tarting them up with heavy use of these techniques.
