So I bought the game on the release day, back when I was like 12 years old. Nearly fourteen years later, i'm all psyched up to play it again. Problem is, CD 2 won't install properly on my drive, apparently there's some kind of error regarding the installation. I even tried installing through the grimlauncher, and got the game to work... until CD-2. Then the game won't load anymore and crashes right there.
You might say that my CD's are scratched, but thing is, they're in mint condition ( I kept this game boxed, on my shelf for all these years. ) And when I moved out of my parent's place, I even put it back on my shelf!
I remember reading somewhere on the internets that some people do have problems installing this pure gem on their computer. Anyone knows the magic trick?
Or if that's no good, some of guys behind ScummVM are working on a similar program for Grim called 'ResidualVM' It's still very much in development and prone to glitches & crashes but the game is completeable with this program and can be downloaded from the following link > http://www.residualvm.org/
