Grip is a vehicle combat game that removes the traditional limits of the road from game play. Players use the walls, ceilings, and floor in an attempt to destroy other players. Vehicle models are designed with oversize tires which let the cars drive regardless of their orientation.

Grip is in many ways the spiritual successor of the 1999 Psygnosis-published PSone arcade racer Rollcage. In fact the development team does share some coders from that original project. The project was originally spear headed by Chris Mallinson and Robert Baker, who worked on the game through much of 2015. At the same time promoting the project through Stream Green Light and eventually a Kickstarter Campaign after a prototype was completed.
