    Grondoval is the main character in the Witchaven game series.

    The first game, Grondoval is the knight who was chosen by his Lord Verkapheron to travel to the volcanic island of Char and storm Witchaven in search of the evil witch Illwyhrin .
     
    In the sequel, he must return to  Witchaven  to deal with Ilwhyrin's sister Cirae-Argoth, as he is told she now wants him dead.
