    Worthy distraction

Small, deceptively easy to traverse EPIC adventure.

The first time you attempt movement you feel like a wet soggy noodle. Quickly though you adapt to your floppy but resilient robotic body.

Climbing is the main mechanic for traversal. At first I was thinking it was going to be a bit “Gang Beasts” or “mount your friends” like. And it kind of is, however its much simpler and more forgiving LB or LT is your left hand, RB or RT is your right. And pressing and holding grabs a surface. Your hand extends directly in front of where the camera is positioned. Which creates some interesting moments climbing in, under and around things. Holding one arm creates a sort of pivot point allowing you to position each hand with relative ease.

The main objectives include finding and collecting crystals to upgrade your abilities such as a rocket pack and connecting plant vines to make the center plant grow. Ostensibly to get back to your ship.

Progressing seems rather foreboding at times, the height mixed with sounds of growth and growling of organics becomes rather atmospheric.

(short for Botanical Utility Droid) as some sort of unsteady but determined little trouper, whose frequent knocks and unfortunate explosions are warmly ...

a unique entry that stands out in a genre which may not entirely be for me 0

i'll keep this short. grow home does a lot of unique things. the control scheme is unconventional but easily stands out as the takeaway from this game that makes it stand out from the rest of the crop. i love the aesthetic it develops. the low poly environments work well hand in hand when B.U.D and M.O.M are seemingly floating amalgamations of cubes and lighting effects. i understand the praise the game receives and would like to see more developers make entries in this style of game.here's wher...
