Alright, people, let's get straight to business. If you always skip cutscenes, have never read a block of flavor text, and can't pronounce the name of your character's homeland, you probably won't give two shits about this. But if you're a lore nerd (e.g. me), this may well blow your god damn socks, pants, sports jacket, and ridiculous tie off.
I give you not the continent, but the entire planet of Tyria:
It's surprising that this would be inserted as a complete object into the actual game because of how ArenaNet has always handled their lore. They're notorious for leaving everything as open-ended as possible to give their writers, content developers, and "lore-masters" room to create pretty much anything. That they have everything you see here (potentially) laid out already suggests that they've planned further ahead than we might have anticipated.
